Look into your tune if its not downshifting properly.

It'll down shift, but you gotta be at the perfect mph. Car still has a 3.27.

I had the same problem after the trans rebuild, turned out to be my shift solenoids. And yes def look into the tune part and see where ur line pressure is at.
For some reason im shifting alot lower than I should once more, made a video to get some opinions on it.

That DSM is really really slow for a 470whp 1g.

That DSM is not slow, dont think theres a rear angle were you can see how far back he was and just reeled us in and past us up. He didnt have the clean runs, and was his first time in a few yrs testing out his ride for the first time. He is cranking up the boost to 38 and we will be racing again once im on the spray, from a low roll.

That should be a very good run!

My buddies with 650whp traped 140.... On lower boost at around high 5's it traped 137. No way does that 1g make 470whp. That car with 470whp will WALK away from you from the getgo. Like i said it probably makes mid 3's or something, or the driver can't drive. Very very slow for "470hp".

You're slow. I just go by what the driver tells me or what I hear in the parking lot.

Do you have access to hptuners? If so then look at what rpm and mph your shifts are being commanded and then at what rpm/mph they are actually happening.
It took me a few track passes and logging to get my shifts dialed in right where I wanted them.

LOTB. The reason why your car is shifting earlier with the tighter converter is because you are reaching the commanded mph to shift at a lower rpm (less slip).

Funny thing is that its Supposed to meet both the mph and rpm before shifting, But it seems like they have a mind of their own sometimes and if they are too far off from each other it will just default to whatever is reached first. In his case reaching the mph as you said.

LOB- Its the lower shift extension that's making if feel slower. It will be better with nitrous, everything always is! Put it in 2nd and break stall it, that will tell give you a good idea where the converter stalls to. difference between nitrous friendly and a nitrous converter, is one will handle a decent shot but is still a good NA converter the other sux until you hit the button.

I would think only a gear swap or wheel height change would affect that, not the converter.

Agreed, still think i should be a lil bit higher for shift extension, I want it atleast at 6300-6400. And also some adjustment to trans Line pressure. I believe my Tq management is off as well. not sure if thats a good or bad thing.

I also Just got done swapping my spark plugs, installed some BR7ef and gap'd them to 35. I'll post a pic, of the TR6's that came out. Hopefully the new plugs help out some.

I tried uploading the pics of the old spark plugs, and didnt work on here. I uploaded them on our forum.
Follow the link and look at last post with spark plugs that Ive posted. It may take a lil bit for pic to upload once you hit the thumbnail.

ya i cant stand those cats , to them if you dont make 1500 you shouldnt be allowed to run , sadly alot of vette guys have that mentality , i guess thats why ive been chillin with the modern muscle guys and not a vette club
