i gotta call bullshit.

ls3 with boltons is making the same power but weighs 300-400lbs less.

BS flag here:

arguing other wise is idiotic.

I'm a little curious how a intake, axleback & tune automatic C6 is making 415whp???

Lets see here. The 5.0 was dyno tuned at 413whp on a dynojet. The auto C6 has an axleback exhaust which gains a whopping 2-4whp. The air intake can gain a decent amount, I'm guessing 15whp maybe. And who knows what tuning the car has done. I'm just saying the auto C6 could only be up around 30whp over stock. In that case, a 413whp m6 5.0 is likely going to give the C6 a beatdown.

Average bone-stock A6 LS3 vette puts down around 375 on a dynojet, so 30+ would put it at ~400rwhp plus a couple hundred pounds lighter. It should be a close race if anything.

Last time I checked an ls3 puts down around 360-370 stock even with an a6. So it should be right around 390-400... The 5.0 weighs 300 lbs more, and makes roughly the same power, sorry but that c6 should have walked all over the 5.0. Bolt on ls3's trap well into the 120's with nothing else done. 5.0's wont do that without more stuff.

Anyone else think its funny when people compare the 5.0 to an ls3 5th gen, the 5th gen loses because it weighs 300lbs more and its a pig, but when the 5.0 weighs 300lbs more and beats a car that should have walked away from it people think it went down like it should have? Lmao

I think "close" is being a bit generous I've seen bolt on c5 z06's and ls3 walk away from bolt on 5.0's they make the same power but weigh considerably less.

I think the Boss intake and Long-tubes on the 5.0 would make it a little closer, but yeah I still give the LS3 the edge no doubt.

Im sorry but i cant get over how everyone in here thinks they know everything about both cars in this race. Bottom line is no one does.

How do you know what the GT weighs? You dont
How do you know what the Vette makes for power? You dont
How do you know the tune on the vette isnt just minor adjustments? You dont
How do you know the Dyno Jet wasnt stingy? You dont

If we compare a fully loaded GT to a Vette... we are talking 300-400 lb difference. If its a base GT, talking 250lbs. Which is very easy to remove from these cars.

People need to stop critiquing and throwing BS flags and just say "Good kill". The OP isnt being an *** or bragging or saying anything negative. Simply posted a video of a kill...

Stop paper racing and get out there and gets some kills of your own..

If we had official weights and HP numbers on the same dyno of both cars, then would could judge the outcome better. But bottom line... we dont have the information.

My honest opinion of what i SAW in the video. The vette jumped and it looked like it got stuck on the rev limiter for a second (we dont know anything about the tuning, could have a lazy shift point) which caused the 5.0 to overtake it and build enough momentum to get out on him and stay there. Idk if anything has ever really hit the limiter in a close race.... but its like hitting the brakes

I know what your saying Evan, and IF that happened I could see it then maybe. But a Bolton ls3 vette is a fast car, it's going to take more than those few mods to take a proper, or even average one down.

What's the fastest you have seen or heard of a Tire ONLY ls2 vette going? I can't find any records

I would hardly call this vette a bolt on vette. IMO, it has cheap baby mods done. An axle back, air intake (we dont know if its an effective one or junk), and a tune we know nothing about. Chances are if this car doesnt have any dyno numbers... its got a canned tune. I understand how fast they can be. I also understand have fast a 5.0 can be. To call BS that a decently modded 5.0 cant pull a near stock auto ls3 vette...is BS. If both cars had the same mods and were dyno tuned, my money is on the ls3 vette..weight can always change the outcome. But on average... the ls3 vette has the win.

If i had to guess its probably high 11s at mid teens. Thats typical very low into negative DA as where most records are broken. They arent quite as fast as the c5 z was. Very close but it seems in a stock for stock race with both killer drivers, the Z has the edge. Problem with most records like that... is its all done on an honor system. But turning off tq management and raising the rev limiter will do wonders to a "stock" car chasing a record. I never pay attention to record cars, regardless of the make.

Im far from mad...but i think its ignorant how people act on here. This is why almost every single one of my kill videos gets deleted. Hell i had an awesome race with my buddies H/C/I 4th gen last fall. So much BS was called on it, the thread lasted 5 minutes before i had enough.

That would be "oh so cool" if Knight races powerhouse.
