Vette jumped and still got raped. I have seen this race a few times on here and in person. Its seems to always be a good race. Both stock or slightly modded.

Vette isn't really much lighter if it is a base 5.0. My base manual weighed 3480 with 1/4 tank gas. Stock C6 vette weighs 3285lbs if manual..auto a little more. So not a lot of weight. 5.0 has better gearing also. And dyno could be a little low depening on how it reads. Lot of 5.0's with them mods dyno 420-430whp.

Some 5.0 weights more like 3650lbs(mustang Boss) and the 1LE SS is 3850. Only 200lbs. Not that much. I agree. Still less.

A Vette with those mods should be right at 400-415rwhp. This with less weight should be an equal race. Vette got a big hit, and the 5.0 still beat it(raped it actually). So thats why I'm wondering whats up with it.

Anything can happen on the streets.

Base manual 5.0's don't weigh 3650. Base auto 5.0's weigh that. The boss Don't weigh 3650 either stock. I have enough weighed to know that for sure. Ford weight claims are off. Its basically to meet cafe/gas gizzler etc etc. Doing the exhaust on my 5.0 dropped about 30lbs just at the mufflers not couunting the loss of cats an stuff. All together exhaust was worth about 45lbs. We don't know wheels on 5.0 either that could be for another 100lbs if bigs and littes.

And I think the rape cam from it being an auto and 5.0 from being a manual.

He jumped, realized he screwed up and let up just long enough for the autotragic to upshift then got back on it which means he was stuck in the gear it upshifted to. Had that happen numerous times to me personally. Not taking anything away from your car, we all know a well done long tube headers, catless, intake and tune 5.0 is a stout car. just not normally stout enough to roll out on a basic modded LS3 C6.

This a good race no. Im talking LS3 vette and 5.0.

And every one i see is back and forth of the two cars. Who wins with what mods etc. Once the vette does cam the 5.0 will need boost. I have seen that also..

With basically equal mods it comes to the driver with t he vette having teh advantage and 9/10 times winning

Actually a base LS3 C6 6spd manual weighs just a hair over 3200, 6A a little more. The stock hearing is actually pretty decent. Your average full weight Coyote is about 3500. ~200-300lbs is pretty significant if you ask me.

Don't look like the nose ever fell on the vette. Being he don't let out. But agree should not been this bad. Maybe 5.0 hiding 50-75 shot?

I looked ad found 3285 for about every where on corveteforum.com for vettes weight for a manual. With auto tipping in over 3300. But whatever. I know what my maual bone stock weighed on the scales. And it was 3480. so least 200lbs. COmbine that with auto vs manual, better gearing, a hair more hp it should be a decent race. Not turned out like this. As above maybe 5.0 is hiding shot.

And next question is when did he pull the 150 shot off the 5.0. After he blew the engine? I remember this car now. He blew it at the track if remember right. I do remember he was looking at buying Kdanner stock 5.0 engine after he blew the engine.
