lmfao catback only formula vs turbo 8th gen si
We did two runs this is the 2nd run where the si didn't let off due to traffic. My friend is having an issue with his 4th gear the rear end locks up when he throws 4th at high RPMs. Full weight 1998 M6 formula with borla adjustable catback with a mediocre driver.

Pretty much im sure if we would've rode out 4th we would've pulled him, my friend slept on the jump too. Owner of the formula has been driving stick for a handful of days. Im sure the 8th gen has some sort of tuning issue or its revlimit is set early as ****, i heard its an ebay turbo kit setup.

LMAO Catback only LS vs Turbo'd Si... Dead even.
Amazing. You know someones going to be saying how his boost isn't boosting, and his headers aren't heading, etc.

i don't see anything wrong with trying to build something different even though its not the fastest thing on the road. if ultimate speed for dollar was the most important thing we'd probably all be better off buying and racing motorcycles or something

^word. That also looks like a 4 door? I would rock one for a daily. I just dont like how refined newer cars are. I love the raw mechanical feeling from older chassis + motor setups. They are fun as hell in autocross though.
What turbo is he running? Gotta be less then 10lbs.

Yeah, no id never put an ebay kit on a new car, its obvious the car isn't tuned and it doesn't sound like he was actually reving out the car to where it should be. Put it this way it was like 5x degrees out last night, damp in some places and he was on street tires and he barely spun from a 40 roll.

Looks like the SI did just fine to me, especially for a cheaper turbo set-up. I mean damn, he started off with a 197 HP, high 14-low 15 second car, and is now able to run with an LS1 from a roll.

Several people have made 6xxwhp with stock k-series longblocks, what they came with from factory is pretty irrelevant when a turbo is thrown on.
