People can get these 5th gene down in weight. Dietcoke said his is now down to 3350. But he's went to extreme measures.

Redfire, here is a pic of my 98 Formy. The hood, wheels, & stance make all the difference in them. I still like the looks of the T/A's better though.

If memory serves me right the LS7 has a 4140 chromium forged crank and forged titanium rods. The only thing that isn't forged is the cast pistons which I believe received some sort of treatment to reduce friction and improve wear resistence.

the cast pistons was literally one of the fall off points for me not buying a c6z. I just dont understand the point of running them in such a big dollar performance motor. For the price of a crate motor....i want strong pistons.

Saw the new z28 in person. It's so sick, but that flat silver/white is not gunna be a production color. It's also gunna cost more than a zl1

i think it is competing against fast cars from every auto maker.... if its around 50-65k it really is out of the range of many gt/ss buyers anyway.

This is more of something to temp some m3/etc buyers who do many track days.
