2007 Impala SS vs ? LT1 Camaro

I raced my brother's LT1 back when I had my LS4. All I had was exhaust and he still came around me on the top end and he only had an intake and had cut the exhaust at the axle. LT1 cars barely edge out LS4's in my opinion.
I loved my LS4, but I'm glad that I moved on from it.

If you're racing from a dig you may have an advantage, most LS1's fight for traction when launching. My car's auto so it doesn't spin much at all, pretty consistent launches. From a roll in an M6 they take off pretty hard. If you do get a race with him post some vids, I'm always into watching 4 bangers take on a V8.

I've never raced an SRT-4, have no idea what they're capable of or how they do.

Power comes to them soo easy too. The people with slow SRT-4's are losing the game of life.

Right, about the same as an LS4 car, but less top end horsepower, which is why I'm surprised the LT1 was able to pass him up in the top end. LS4 car must have taller gearing, which would account for the harder launch from a roll. Though I'm not sure, not very familiar with the LS4 cars.
