All motor 1989 hatch Mustang murdered GT-R from dig!

Think I remember seeing this vid on the GTR forums, and all the GTR owners agreed that the GTR was an idiot racing his bone stock car against this Fox body and that he should have known better.

We built this next-generation, DOT competition tire* for drivers who know what it means to really push a car. We’ve optimized its casing and tread design to maximize dry performance without losing wet traction, and to keep you fully under control in extreme driving situations. If your idea of fun includes road racing, track days, and high-performance driving schools, then the Proxes R888 is your tire.

Bad ***!!!
Can someone learn me something about the engine in the fox? Dont know much about "sbf's". Is that just a bored/stroked stock engine that came with the car? or is it some other block? Also how hard/pricey is it to get said engine to those power levels?

This GTR is not stock... come on people lol. Maybe people are playing the stupid "numbers" game again. a 495whp well setup NA proshifted fox that hooks is typically a 9 second car at mid 130s.
2 local foxes i know
306ci: 371whp notch - 10.7 at 124
306ci: 458whp heavier hatch - 11.1 at 130 (meh driver)

A 331c.i. SBF is a bored and stroked 302, 4.030" bore and 3.25" stroke. Stock is 3.00" stroke and 4.00" bore. At 495whp that hatchback could be using a stock block. But who knows, stronger aftermarket 302 blocks are relatively inexpensive.

People get too caught up on the whp number. He's using all of it, very efficiently, in what is likely a very light Fox.
Definitely has the potential to be a 9 second ride.
