Thinking Of Trading My 2010 SS In For A Mustang
Basicly I'm to a point in my life where I'm tired of a car payment and really want to move forward in my life. By cutting out or down on my car payment I'll have more money to put towards more important things. I don't like the older Camaros but the 99-04 Mustangs really appeal to me for some reason. I guess I want you guys to talk me out of buying a Stang here but then again I feel like I've already made up my mind. idk what to do here.

just to let you guys know what I'm thinking, I like the DOHC models like the Cobras and Mach 1s and Bullits. My cousin says the Cobra insurance will be through the roof for me though cause of my driving record

So the bullits are so much more expensive just cause of the intake? I thought they were a DOHC motor just without the shaker hood. The looks and sound of the Mustang just do it for me for some reason.

They're just a specialty car. Same exact 2v motor except the the intake. They have cobra brakes, subframe connectors, different springs, wingless trunk. And the seats.
Made them in dark green, dark blue, and black.
I agree though, I'm more of a mustang guy, but I'd go after a ws6. My old 2v went 11.98 @ 118.6mph. But it was making 13psi through a vortech. Only way to make a 2v "fast" is with boost. Even the you'll have a hard time with a cammed ls1

I just found a red Mach 1 for sale I'm going to check out 2mar. Has rims that look just like the stock ones but wider in the rear with nt555s. LTs, full exhaust, 4.10s, Steeda shifter, K&N intake, and a SCT tuner. He says it'll break a LS1's heart (his words not mine). I told him I'd like to try it out with my SS before I sold it. lol.

So seriously, is a Mach 1 faster than a ls1 Camaro? I like the idea of a 6 speed for mpg, but just don't like the looks. I like the shaker on the Mach 1 and don't want to be put in something that's dog **** slow. I'm having a hard time understanding who's being serious in the post about the Mach 1 vs ls1 and who's just playing.

stock for stock an ls1 trans am is faster than a stock mach 1
period.
stock ls1 vs geared, intake, exhaust, mach 1 the mustang will be faster
intake, exhaust, geared ls1 = bye bye pony
both of these cars are not hard to find at all, go ******* drive both and buy what you want. nothing is going to compare to the "newness" of the 2010 camaro.

But I read on some SVT site that Mach1s have forged motors. So wouldn't that save me money in the long run years from now when I build a motor?
Also had a guy on another forum tell me to out an "E" cam in it but I can't find them listed for the Mach 1s anywhere. Also reading that the modular motors are hard to work on?
