Nice kill, but to be honest I thought that HCI foxbody did pretty damn good for the power it was making

Thanks man, it pulls hard for bolt-ons. I'm working on a cam/heads setup.

I agree, but the guy want's a rematch and thinks he'll do better from a 40 roll...

His advantage is his weight, he needs to keep it to as low a roll as possible. From my vantage point in my driver's seat, second was close and he only fell back to my mirror. By the end of third he was at the back of my door, and in fourth it was no contest. He had dropped out of my peripheral vision and I was pulling away quickly, we hit the brake marker and I shut down. I really wish my video had been useable, because it seems alot better from his view.

I'm surprised the Fox hung in that long. I'm no 5.0 expert but H/C/I and making 300rwhp? Sounds like a poor combo to me. There are cammed 4.6 2Vs that make that. Good kill btw.

Thats what most H/C/I 302's make. Keep in mind those 302s make like 200whp stock thats through a manual. Some guys with an auto have claimed to have made like 150whp and ****.

Naw those numbers are pretty common with a H/C/I setup like that.

That's a VERY mild combination, that is why it's not putting up bigger numbers.

Most standard HCI Foxbody's are around the 300-320 rwhp range. Of course you get into much wilder and less streetable type HCI combos and it can change

The old SBF stuff was more more attention to detail then the ls motors. Intake/heads/cam all need to match up... port matching etc. A lot to it.

This section'll never be satisfied. Just race whoever you race. LOL
Good runs though. Def. a strong fox for the mods IMO.

Good kill.

Thats spot on for that combo. To get much more that that he needs more cubes or a more wild combo. The LS engines really spoiled people on what kind of power engines make and really got the ball rolling on the performance war. Im willing to bet there never would have been a termi if the ls1 wasnt beating the pants off the mustangs. Back then I had to get an n20 kit just to keep up in my 4.6 gt. In 1998 300 rwhp was a monster and the ls1's were doing that off the show room floor. He did better than I thought he would.

I know my 409 SBC build put down 25 more rwhp than my GTO.

Crazy isnt it. Bet the 409 didnt have 1/3 the street manners or gas milege. I damn sure wouldnt want to drive mine everyday and Im not making the power you are. I just like the old school feel but for something that u drive more than 25 miles a week ac and power steering sure are nice.

The 302s are pretty darn impressive though and cheap to mod. Making 100whp+ with a mild h/c/i and supporting mods is very sweet which ever way you cut it. Might not be up to par with the LSx but definitely impressive in its own category.
