Sure the "butt dyno" tells us we knocked off .3 and gained 4 mph but the truth is unless you went 2.73 to 4.10 the chances of seeing an actual reduction are unlikely.
A 3.23-3.73 swap will never be noticed... The only time you notice an actual difference is 1/4 mile with 2.73s because it knocks out the 3rd gear lag where it drops really low in the RPMS and even then the gains are minimal at best since that is the very last bit of the track.
You get gears to tighten the converter up and put you at the correct RPM crossing the traps... If you have 3.23s, I wouldn't recommend gears until you get a built rear.. If you have 2.73s, at some point you should swap for a stock 3.42 rear.

BTW... Go ahead and show me proof of gears helping. Find me a thread with the only difference being a gear swap while taking DA calculations into the equation.
I'll be waiting. *Hint- This isn't the first, or second, or third, time I have asked for someone to prove me wrong on gears not being very beneficial at all in auto cars.

An auto doesn't gain much and in many cases absolutely nothing from a gear swap.

What?? I don't know how you are coming to this conclusion, but I have back to back slips within 2 weeks of one another showing that my car went from 110 to 114 mph with a 3.23 to 3.73 swap. Gears are where its at with these cars. Stalls are too, but dammit Lemons, you are sitting there posting that getting into your powerband faster has no benefits! Its simply not true.

We all went out and no races happened. The crowd got run off from one spot, and it looked like the police were stalking the crowd... few of us went to another spot, but no races happened. I guess because of the extra memorial day weekend police presence. I was paranoid about doing anything with my car too... maybe another weekend.

People saying gears do nothing... are crazy. Especially for a stock converter which flashes up to about, less than 2000 RPMS lol.
My fti 3000 only picked me up a tenth in the 8th. Which is great, but a gear would help immensely.

You need a tune man and some 3.42s, from what i hear an auto with a tune is night and day. Your car runs pretty good for mods or lack of them lol, stopsign said it was full bolt on so i thought "things a turd" but it runs decent.
