650+Rwhp D1 370 Z28 VS GSXR 750
Buddies car... Makes a little over 650Rw. Has a 9", 410s, 4l80e, and 28" radials so a LOT of power was "hiding". The dyno also reads a little low.
370 with a D1 procharger on 16#s.
For reference... He literally left my 45XRwhp car sitting still like I wasn't racing and I left first. Actually had people wonder when I showed them the video why I didn't race him. I have ran neck and neck with many other 4XXRwhp manual cars and pulled a 408 car.
Buddies 05+ GSXR 750 with a slip on... First time I have ever rode the bike so there was improvement to be made but I can ride way better than your average rider even not knowing the bike and not riding for over a year.
First run... 40 roll. I have zero clue how bad it was. What I do know is he pulled back up to me shaking his head saying that was the only race he wanted to do that it was absolutely pointless to run.
I talked him into a 60 roll (this bikes stronger roll)... He said he let out of it before he even hit 100mph because I was pulling so hard.
I talked him into one more final race.. I told him to just go whenever he was ready. We left around 40-50mph. I waited until I saw him making forward progress before I went WOT. He pulled roughly 1 car length and before I hit 100mph I had multiple car lengths on him and was still pulling hard.
We have video of the final run and I will post it up.

so a car that should run in the 10's and in the 130+mph range gets yarded bad by a bike that should 1/4 and trap the same as him? Think your buddy should take his car to a dyno and have it checked out.
You gotta admit it doesn't sound right Lemons, am I right?

Hmmm, I'd expect it to be fairly close. I had a run in with a Gixxer 750 about a month or so ago and I was able to pull up top. My car is in the 700whp range but through a turbo, 6spd, and 3.42's.

Do i have to go video post happy right now of Beans taking out cars on the roll that out trap and out ET him? Beans best trap to date is 133.... last time out he raced an AUTO turbo cobra that trapped 140... Cobra has to chase every single race...

Good point, but that is a rare case IMO

185#.... I had gym shorts (didn't have intent to ride a bike that day), a t shirt, his jacket, and a helmet... So 195# maybe total.
Then you guys don't know enough about bikes!
Nobody except for me knew what was going to happen. I had zero doubt this was the outcome. And I knew how hard his car ran, it is my best friends car.
Absolutely! It sounds 100% correct. It takes a SOLID 5+mph over a bike for it to be a race.. And by that I mean the bike jumps out and the car runs it down on the big end (120-130+). Put someone on a bike that knows what is going on and it can take even more than 5mph easily.
The car would easily run in the 10s, low most likely... And trap 130+ without breaking a sweat.
It was just on the dyno... There is absolutely nothing wrong with his car, trust me. He left my 450Rw car that weighs 300# less than him like I was sitting still and I took the jump.
I wouldn't even waste my time on a 750 with a 500Whp car.
Are you saying where the Camaro would be as far as power or speed?
A REAL dyno? Hate to burst your bubble... The dyno we use is notorious for reading a solid 15Rwhp on lower HP cars. On a REAL dyno it would have put down even more power.
This car is making every bit of 685Rw+.
This isn't some random dudes car.. It is my best friends (I consider him family). I was there for the entire build and know every piece of the car. The car runs exactly how it should be.
Think about this guys.... Me, Beans, Evan, etc... Always talk about "if the dude knew how to ride you would have been left sitting" in the bike threads. All you guys say BS. I'm posting that 1 out of 100 guys you come across that knows how to race a bike (and I'm a bit rusty). I'm showing you guys what CAN happen if the guy on the bike has his head out of his ***. THIS is how bikes run. All those other bull **** stories are somebody that caught a bike off guard or a bike with a squid on it.
PERIOD!
If you want... Find me another 650Whp car around my area to race.. I will talk to the owner of the 750 and see if he will let me ride again, I don't think it will be an issue.
We have a 550Whp C5Zo6 that we could do.... However, I don't think he will race. Why? Because he got freight trained by a 750 a few months back.
I thought the guy owned a 600... Everyone was talking about it being a good race blah blah blah.. I said what exact bike is it? The owner said just a 750. I told my buddy to not even race it. Everyone was saying I was WAY off on what was going to happen. I knew it wouldn't be a race.
Exactly.. 7mph and it was still a chase. I remember watching that video.
BOOM! Unless they live in the bike world for a while and have some racing under their belt, they will NEVER understand this.
This is why I rode the bike and not the owner. He said he can't keep it down in 1st gear and he weighs more than I do. If I sat back on the seat and didn't tuck fully it raised on me.. But in all 3 races I kept it 100% down. He also said 1st gear scared him so he short shifted... Which takes him out of 1st gear power band and this lowers his RPM range in the 2nd gear so again is out of its power range. That right there would make ALL the difference.
And FWIW... I was not beating on this bike, it wasn't mine. If it was my bike I would have rode it a lot harder.
