Default Still an amazing car! Stock WS6

Feel out of place posting about a boring stock WS6 but have to share with guys "in the know"
Don't have video, solo driving here, anyway... killed two cars in the last couple of weeks that I was curious about and a little nervous of to be honest. First, nothing nuts, just a dig to around 60 or so. But got a G37X beside me and it never stood a chance it seems. I saw the guy giving the eye like he was going to show me his tail lights. I'm thinking to myself, I have no interest whatsoever in seeing an imported *** in my face. Window is down, light goes green and I'm into it a little heavy in case he is going for it. I hear it open and I snap mine down... well holy **** did I hit it at the right time! Felt like my *** was going into the bottom of the seat frame and the hood rose like a submarine breaking surface... smooth and scary! I herd the 37x squawk into 2nd, those are awd cars, but it was already over, the WS6 was GONE! hahaha.. what a fun car!!
Second, this morning after getting a little fuel. Pulling out of gas station at about a 25-30 roll, BMW Z4 M series slows right down in outside lane and gives the look over and hammers it... the split second reflexes kick like a 14 year old playing Mortal Combat and bam!!, M4 is getting taken over hard! You could not beat the smile off my face with a stick... lol I know, boring to most of you guys but it was pretty awesome to show those import cars there is still some life in these "old outdated" cars. My WS6 has been tuned by me and has Founders suspension/frame mods. Other than that, stock with paper filter.

Good kills. The G37/370z is A LOT stronger then the 35. Thats a legit win for a stock ws6. Couple years back we lined up a 104mph Mustang GT and a stock g37. G37 walked out about 2-3 cars from 40-110.

You're not taking a stock z4m down "hard", if driven well(should I say).
Good kills

was the G37 stick or auto?

My business car is a g37 auto, it's definitely pretty peppy, but I didn't expect 2-3 cars on a 104mph car. more power to the G37 i guess

my brother has a Z4M coupe, the car's powerband is way the hell up there. if the driver screws up a little bit it's over. it definitely handles like it's on rails though. my vette even with the z51 package seemingly experiences a half second delay to all driver inputs, whereas the Z4M seems to do stuff you're thinking right before you do them. "razor sharp reflexes" suits the Z4M perfectly.

Good to read fella. Personally I haven`t raced anything as no license means no job for me and the Police are pretty strict here with that kinda stuff. Revenue collecting ba$tards.

Love The WS6s! The wife has a 98 SGM WS6 m6, all stock except for the SLP big mouth exhaust. This past spring when I pulled her car out of storage a guy in a newer mustang gt pulled up next to me at a stop light after complimenting each others cars he agreed to run. I thought I was going to get smoked by him (his car had a body kit with side pipe exhaust, looked bad ***!),It wasnt even close pulled him by 3 cars easy, we again roll raced on the freeway at 60 and I pulled him again. Sorry to steal your thread just felt like sharing! Good kill!
Cheers

5.0's are faster, but not a lot.

Are you sure it was a Z4 M? I could see you yanking a Z4 but the M model is pretty potent and should run nearly identical to a (well driven) stock fbody.

Yea, defiantly an M. After reading the responses here I did a little digging on the Z4M and as said above, if the driver in one of those doesn't get the RPM up from the get go exactly what happened happens.... lol I've found they are very dependant on high RPM's to get them going, down low I'm told they are a bit of a dog. Checking the stats I could find, it seems they do a 4.9 0-60 and a 13.1 quarter. So, if they don't bring their "A game", they are in for a surprise! From a dig I obviously give the nod to one of those, but from a low roll they better be dam careful of us

stock ls1's should really not have a problem with any g37, maybe a tired 2.73 car. Good kill man.

I use to own a g37s 6mt and can tell you stock for stock the WS6 is a much quicker car. Yeah we can argue auto vs manual whatever, but food for thought here. I had CAI, high flow cats, catback exhaust and tune on my g37s when I had my stock ws6. With my buddy driving the TA the clean runs had my g37s up by a car length. Now if the G coupe was stock i'd imagine it would not fair well.

how much power did your G37 make over stock with those mods?
