A Cobra can be hot lapped, but it needs a head cooling mod.


Even if mine had the head cooling mod, I wouldn't hot lap it. I just think that it's unnecessary wear and tear hot lapping a car.

Yeah... I wrote it. So I'm familiar with it and he may very well request a rematch, which it is reasonable to believe will be on the 1/4 mile. And if that comes to pass, we'll happily give him his race.

Naturally, I'll expect the same considerations I've provided for him.

Just stop bashing the **** out of one another's car, you're gonna race, let that do the talking, quit trying to make excuses to hot lap or not hot lap, run one race, whoever wins, wins and that's that. Then kiss, make up and go have a beer for ***** sake. Its a 1/8 mile random race, not the ******* nhra national championship. Quit taking this **** so serious.

 

There will be a first pass and if you feel that THAT is the end all, call it like ya see it. But the race is best of three, which could easily go down in only two passes.

And there's nothing wrong with yackin' it up before the race. It's part of the fun.

But I wantcha to know that I appreciate the contribution, nonetheless…

 

Rained on and off all day, regionally speaking… and while at 5:00 the track said it looked like they were going to go, a 6:00pm toad strangler finished it off…

I merely pointed out that half a generation down the road, the LT1 was taking down what Ford was offering as state of the pony car art.

If you need to rationalize that as bragging, I suppose you're entitled. It just seems weak to me.

 

Today marks TWO WEEKS to race day!

The question remains, will we race ALONE ? Or will we have ourselves a showdown?

BTW: headin' to the track tomorrow. Talked to one of the track operations guys last night on the horn and brushed the short version of the looming contest.

He seemed optimistic and said he thought that they would be able to fit us in… Said to talk to him tomorrow, so weather permitting… that's what we're gonna do.

Patience fellas, less than two weeks now.

What's fascinatin' is that we haven't heard from the sprout since he was scheduled for a track outing.

So he either shot into the 1/8th mile sixes with his new mods and is keeping it on the down-low or, not.
