However I do think they are badass motors obviously. The fanboys that surround them with the same attitude you have has just about killed it for me though. They are the 03/04 cobras of this era.

I should be? Showing your ignorance again I see. The 5.4 4v has been around for along time buddy and the last time I checked it made more power and has been faster on stock cubes then any ls1/6 or 5.0 has ever been. I agree for an LS1 bolt on GTO to pull on a new 5.0... its a strong one. LS2 Bolt on GTO on the other hand shouldnt have a problem walking unless of course its a no option base model 5.0... which are actually pretty rare. No one wants them because they are boring as sin...plastic steering wheel etc... But they make great race cars lol

Well mine is the 301A package(base model with sync and power driver seat, think that's it) and the FP8 package(black and machined 19s, black mirror caps, black spoiler). In the 2013 and 2014s they started putting the leather wheels in all trim levels

the 2011-2012 base models were the most chinsy POS interiored mustangs ive seen since the S197 came out in 05. But like i said, the benefit to this is speed. Pick your poison.
My buddies 2013 Cali Special got walked by my friends 2012 base model. And they were a dead heat race after the cali special did some work.

great pull! love the goat, and love the 5.0
saw a black 5.0 with paper plate on freeway last night, dropped to 3rd and revved a bit and paced him for a bit. guy just shook his head so I went on my way.
few hours ago coming home saw a silver 5.0 with at least exhaust, guy was driving aggressively but wouldn't line up for a clean pull.
sigh nobody wants to play with me lawl

my tune only (bama 93r) '13 auto 5.0, brembo package, sync and auto were the only options vs a 06 GTO m6 intake/exhaust/tune.
took a second for my car to downshift and wasnt a great roll, once we hit about 80 my car starts eatin pretty hard it 3rd and i walked away from him. traps 116 pretty consistent in 1600DA, trapped 118 on my hero run once.

Might be racing the gto again soon. He has a new tune making more power, Supposedly went from 22 degrees of timing to around 32. I have a feeling I'll get beat badly

I guess it depends on where you live then. Here most basic bolton ls1 gtos have a tough time with bolton 2vs and 3vs. A good running bolton mach or 99/01 cobra would crush its soul. Hell we even have a Bolton b headed 4v going 12.3 @ 111.xx. I have never seen a fullweight ls1 gto come close to that locally.
I had a friend with a ls2 a4 goat ported mani, t/b, l/ts, exhaust, intake, tune, ~250lbs of weight reduction and it went 12.x @ 113.xx Another friends BONE stock auto 5.0 went 12.x @ 111 at the same track![Mr. Cool](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_cool.gif)
