I think sean did some of the work on his gtr himself. I'm not sure how in depth he gets. I went into that race knowing a gtr from a dig on the street would be tough.......even if it ran what he said initially.

Just for fun, you should have done a roll too.

Yeah, they definitely fall flat on their face a bit from a roll. The GT-R wasn't quite at the power level where they being to freight train from a roll.

I don't think any 130+ trapping car falls flat. This one did 135+....made 630whp.

Hell you could back that up to a 115 trap really. Of course it's all relative. It's not like a old fox 5.0 where they hang their tongue as soon as you shove it in 3rd gear.

As far as rolls go, they seem to do very well from a power to weight perspective. Probably because of the transmission having a gear for every speed and fast shifting.

I doubt islander would have an issue hanging with that GTR from a dig. Sucker launches for being a fatass whale.

This is so true, junk 5.0s. Nothing a good set of big heads can't fix though.

They don't pull as hard from 60 as they do from a dig. The 2013+ trap 125 stock. They don't pull like a 125 trapping car from a roll stock vs stock against C6Z/'13 GT500/any other 125ish trapping car.

I'm not saying a 135 trap GT-R is a dog from a roll, but the usual trap can indicate roll performance is just a little more skewed in the GT-R...

True, but it is hard for a cylinder head to suck as bad as the E6 and E7's did.

The L98's two injector channels insured this. I ran a V6 Toyota grocery getter the other day for the hell of it. I jumped out hard for about three seconds max and before first hit red line the Yota was headed back out front. Second gear came and I started to pull back for about half a second and then the Toyota was gone for good.

Hio always forgets that a dig was planned with the white GTR, but an audience showed up in Mexico and we left before we got it done.

L98 long runner intake kills top end. An auto peanut cammed LB9 305 tpi is even worse. Its dead by 4700. A TBI 305 before that. BARF

Dougie closes his eyes to all of the above listed GM marvels of high rpm wonder. But yeah, e6 and 7s were horrid.

I still like L98s. They're a blast for what they are IMO. Light to light fun

Lt1's were decent up top for their time. Took a till a 4v to edge a l98 up top. 30poos was just a very dramatic drop of.

I just remember it not happening.

Have ever drove a tbi 30poo? That tbi 305 was s powerhouse by comparison.

Intake change on a l98 and they are different animals.

Nope.....like i saud just a very drastic drop off in 3rd for the old 30poo. Only thing that kept the 30poo even close was the light chassis.

Hey now, stock heads with a good porter turns the LT1 top end into a pretty good performer. Mine pulls past 6krpm pretty hard for having a baby cam cut on a 114LSA.

Lol @ Hio and his ridiculous "E85 cheating" argument.
