LT1 people get their panties twisted when I compare the LT1 to a 2V, but this is the reason why.

6 speed lt cars are capable of 13s but its not the norm. Lt guys are an eccentric bunch Its almost like the terminator guys when you compare them to a 5.0. I liked both my lt1 cars, just moved on to a better platform.

I've seen stock auto lt's go in the 13's. Lt's and 2v's are not very close......not as close as some would have us believe. It's pretty easy to get a bolt-on lt to run 12's/bottom 13's.......not so easy for a 2v. Once the mods go farther than that it's Lt in a big way.

As an auto lt1 driver, even when I was stock I could count on the mustang not having the driver mod. I don't need hands to count the number of close races with stangs, cause its 0.
Best race I've ever had vs a 2v is when I had my 99 300m and from a stop light mustang could only get half a car on me till 70

Some of the closest couple of races I ever had with my Cobra was an LT1. He had full boltons/DR's, I had an intake cat back and non DR's. That car ended up running 12.9 I believe. LT1's are definitely a little quicker than most people think once you reach the fbo level.
