Then perhaps, you save a couple thousand and get a turbo, or whatever. Saving up a lot of money to buy a car can be extremely hard, but just saving a week or two's worth of paychecks isnt nearly as difficult. so, you have money to buy mods, and you have a car... what car are you gonna put the mods on? your car. I personally want to do a litte bit of mods to my car this summer, just so I have a little more power, and also mainly so that I can learn something, before I go ahead and try something on a REAL car. That is just my perspective on things...
I totally understand this. I live by the words of not settling. I am 21. I make a measly $7.25/hr. I still made sure to get the car I wanted, so I have my Camaro SS. I was absolutely NOT going to settle. It's such a waste of money to get something and put money into it, even if just a couple little mods, when you know in the end it's not what you want. That's how I live my life. Some of you might be able to put up with a different car, but I am willing to go without a car if that meant I'd save money for what I really wanted.

yeah, I can tell thats who you are, especially after the whole incident with your Z... Personally, I really don't want to put much money into my car. I will be repainting it, cleaning the interior, and maybe doing an ABA swap, which is the bottom end from the third gen 2.0l's... I just want to learn a bit, before I do work to a real car. Though, I will be working 2 jobs this summer, so you can bet your *** a good hunk of that is going in the bank to help me pay for an LS1 someday.

My earlier post was just a guess as to why people put so much money into such a bad base for a high performance car...
