Default Probe GT

A friend of mine has a Probe GT with a 75 shot, headers, exhaust, and is getting a turbo installed at the end of this month. He claims he will be putting 300+ to the wheels, and his car only weighs 2700 lbs. How bad will he beat me if/when we race?

Man things must be getting slow 'round here. Now we got people racing Probes
If this guy with the Probe isn't an especially good friend I got a plan for ya.
1. ask to look under his hood
2. cut the oil feed line to the turbo when he isn't looking.

You'll be a shoe-in for the win. And your LS1 street cred will be upheld.

Now that's funny, extremely jacked up and horribly wrong but funny. I thought the Ford Probe thing died out a long time ago? Everyone who's anyone knows that focus's and escorts are the new fad.

The RX-7 is RWD though...

I think even with the turbo, you should probably be close. Just race and find out...

Just drive like there is a "probe" behind you. That should be some motivation.

Mazda MX6.

And actually, a 5 speed Probe GT (93-97 V6; 89-92 GT's were turbo 4cyl junk) is a fun little car to pedal around. I think there are actually some quick (comparitively speaking) turbo 2.5 Probes around.

I think I remember hearing about one a few years ago that was killing the pre 03 cobras on the roll to well over 100. Then again there are civics doing that to so it can be done with pretty much anything you want to put the cash into. My question is why would you want to do it with that lol?

My fault, I knew it was some **** like that. Only time I ever rode in one I was smashed coming back from a Metallica concert.

I'm just saying I think that Mazda 2.5 takes to boost well. I too don't understand why people start from such a low point to get where we are stock Hey, to each their own I guess

Well, going from personal experience, sorta... these cars are rather inexpensive to purchase. So, perhaps they just got enough money for the car, and bought it, so now they have a probe, or civic, or in my case POS jetta... Then you really don't have a lot of money, but you have a job, so you make a little bit a week. You may save for a week or two, then get a mod for your car, and keep building it up. Then perhaps, you save a couple thousand and get a turbo, or whatever. Saving up a lot of money to buy a car can be extremely hard, but just saving a week or two's worth of paychecks isnt nearly as difficult. so, you have money to buy mods, and you have a car... what car are you gonna put the mods on? your car. I personally want to do a litte bit of mods to my car this summer, just so I have a little more power, and also mainly so that I can learn something, before I go ahead and try something on a REAL car. That is just my perspective on things...

I had the same problem (money wise) but instead of buying a noise polluting rice burner I got my truck, then I got a job that was paying me 20 bucks an hour or more (comission) so I finished my truck and got my Z for a daily driver. Besides 3rd gen fbody's are just as cheap as a civic or jetta or whatever.
