Numbers don't lie boys, that G37 beat every stock 1G CTS-V listed in the sticky in this forum. The 7sp Auto is great and it launches like a ****. Hell it beat my car in ET by a tenth. From a roll I would walk him pretty good but 106 is very respectable. Then there's the same engine in the lighter weight 370Z...

What do you think a bolt-on FWD family sedan (take a second and think about the cars that it actually competes with) should run with basic bolt-ons and decent rubber?[/QUOTE]

True That...Does the 370z bring that motor also?

That year Maxima was a 3.5l V6 with 265hp (IIRC), the 370Z is a 3.7 liter version in the same family of motors, but with different cams/intake manifold/heads. Think of it as an LS1 vs. an LS3. Or LS4 vs. LS1.

You don't see many FWD family cars doing mid 12s with just boltons and tune. Just saying the VQ equipped cars can surprise a stock or lightly modded LS1 pretty easily. Throw a 100 shot on a bolt on G or Z and they can be ~115ish trapping cars. Yeah, the LS1 car needs less mods to do the same, but that's not the point. There are a few bolton 370Zs pulling bottom 12s in the mid 110s also.

Not sure if dumb or trolling...

Every single car you see on the road can be modded to be fast enough to hang with/beat a stock LS1 you have enough money. Lets try to compare stock v stock. Once you start adding hypothetical mods to a car and comparing it to another, you're not proving anything...

Well, educating a few people on a car isn't a horrible thing to do ..... any one of the above mentioned family sedans would take out your LT1 from a dig or a roll.
Its a 14.7 car stock...from the looks of it yours is bone stock minus the exhaust. I wouldnt doubt your car runs slower than 14.7. Your old iron block needs 7-8k worth of mods just to put up a fight with the family sedans.

Just curious to know as why you consider your car a "non daily" driver car? I only ask because you separated 6's and 4's in their own category.
I'm sure you're aware of how many 6's and 4's out there that are daily drivers but produce more substance to the title of "race car" than your bone stock LT1.

Line up the family sedans all at once so this can be over with quickly. a non daily driver is just that, he doesn't drive it every day. some people keep them as toys or weekend cruisers.

Although I agree new age family sedans are awesomeness, you show your lack of knowledge of the lx family by spouting off 14.7. Ragged out ones maybe but any one in decent shape is good for low 14 pretty commonly.

yes lets do the realistic thing and gather people from around the country to race the LS1 tech guys....
of course there would be one guy who would come up with the most common sense response. When do you wanna fly to the north east and have your car shipped up for a day of racing? Let me know and i'll start gathering family sedans up
