Then those cars should run well. That and the weight is what kills the SS.

funny because my buddies cammed ls3 fifth gen with full exhaust and ported intake/tb/air intake... made 457whp on the dyno i use......

And again, 17rwhp less. Yet... What's the trap speed? Probably 108-109mph? A good 10mph slower then me. Set of gears I'll be high 119's low 120's. Troll.

to be honest, there were 2 separate questions saying show me a non ZL making 400hp so the video wasnt trolling.

im not saying the mustang sucks im just pointing out a fact. i like the 5.0's and 1LE/Z28 5th gens.

He's a troll. A dyno can easily be manipulated. ET/trap is where it counts.

definitely true but they said show me some dyno numbers. but yes the 5th gens take a bit of practice, weight reduction, and/or power to get some really good numbers

C'mon guys I drive a damn bolt on 4th gen and the race was vs a near stock boss. How the hell does this thread turn into a 5th gen to a 5.0. They been out for 2 damn years and we still come back to the same damn argument. Who cares stock for stock anyways we buy our cars to go faster and faster. I've beaten plenty of 5.0's modded and 5th gems modded. So what's the point it's not hard to do that unless serious mods on either cars. Damn

because mustang owners complain about stock for stock and that the 5th gen is the 5.0s actual market competition and then butthurtz happen.

every 5.0 vs whatever and whatever wins then theres a select 2-4 people who then jump on the thread talking about how the 5.0 is over rated then 3-4 mustang owners chime in with how theyre really not and that LS platforms arent crap compared to the coyote mustang.

Sounds like a heartbreak dyno. I have a friend who made 491rwhp with his cam/bolt on LS3 5th gen.

Yes, that was manipulated. Anyone who has dyno'd more than one time, can tell that car was not even taken to redline. A pull that fast to redline would have made 600+rwhp

Like I mentioned earlier.. my friends 2013 1LE SS put down 377rwhp bone stock.. which is the average of what they make(ALL LS3 SS's.. not just the 1LE)

He now has an Edelbrock TVS kit, LS9 cam, long tube headers, Edelbrock cold air kit, and made 573rwhp maxxing out stock injectors. Has installed larger injectors, and went with a smaller pulley...but hasn't been back to the dyno yet. Doing his own tuning. It should make over 600 now.

Here is a pic of it and my car mean mugging each other.

I will have to disagree with you on the above statement. The 1LE SS, and ZL1 are both quicker on road courses than the Boss I believe... I think it depended on which course it was.

I hear ya. I was pretty pumped when I ran door to door with a boss before I even had long tubes. were a couple of awesome races.

I'm not saying it was manipulated saying its possible. Maybe it was STD or whatever. Really, I could careless. I'd rather have a 400rwhp car trapping 117mph (my car) rather then a 400rwhp car trapping what? ~110mph? People and they're dyno numbers. Everyone likes a good dyno, but track times/mph are what actually mean something.
