Probably near 300lb heavier in that form by the time they both run. Our race mod motor(aluminum block) was a about 80lb heavier than our LS race engine was.

Your **** cavity was sore after the 1st post........it had nothing to do with me. I posted the pic to show just how massive the engine is.

My dick does drag the dirt......but these guys are not riding it.

Does it look like 2"? The valve cover on the modular is taller than the intake on the LS.
Power was never brought up, just size. And the FACT is, that the DOHC 4.6 mod motor is ~2-3" taller than an LS.

Seems like google is your friend........while I post real life. How the **** do you even post some dumb **** like that with a pic right there? The reality is the engine height is gonna somewhat depend on the oil pan used. In this case fcar vs mustang. If a truck pan was used the ls would be taller......if a vette pan was used it would be much shorter. Now go back to living in and

Power had to be brought up when one wants to reduce engine size by removing the "intake" as heater would call it.

Lawhead wants to run his w/o the blower belt. I guess to get rid of the pulleys the engine NEEDS to run.

It's noticeably wider and longer, probably heavier, but if you remove everything the height looks similar. That's it!

Dude it's totally almost the same height as a 427ci lsx, get out of here saying the mod engine is huge.

Not sure if you guys remember, but this started when the size was mentioned and someone said the 281 was huge. Putting it next to a 427 lsx just drives the point home... It's kinda big.

The way I see it, it's like a TV size, is there much difference from a 51" to a 54" TV? Well, you'd say just looking at it, no there's not, but it's cubic dimension, so in everyway, the physical size is larger.

And since the physical size is larger, weight most likely will be higher.

The only question that I'm constantly puzzled by is:

Hio don't you have both?
So, just asking why is it that you side so much with the LS?

I don't disagree with your assessment, I to am a LS homer, I just wonder why do you even have a Mod in your fox if you like the LS so much better?

Yep. It is overall a much larger motor by design. I even said that. Some people just like to pick fights.

Edit: Everything I'm finding says it's about a 2" difference in height. Enough to make a difference, definitely. But not enough to call one "massive" in comparison to the other. Now width, the mod motors are definitely massive

I helped a friend do the car. He wanted this termi swap. The 4.6's are pretty much a big pile of poo imo. He blew up the termi motor hot lapping it before the car was even finished. That's when I got the car. Rebuilt the engine, put a ported blower on it and finished all the tid bits that needed done. Him and I are the only ones to lay hands on the car during the build.......so naturally I wanted to see the car finished. It's a cool car and I like it. The termi motor is much more impressive looking than a LS would be in it. But some of the **** these ford guys spew is ******* amazing.

I tried to get him to put a new 5.0 in it originally. The 5.0's were unproven when the car was being built so he was skeered of them. He would probably still have it if he woulda.

I like LS engines better.......lets face it they are better. They're way better than the old modular ****. The new 5.0's are a good piece too.

Sorry for the hijack op.

Yes, saying that the mod motor is 2-3" taller than an LS is "spewing ****."
