the turbo c5 z06 was running on a 700hp tune. its a rearmount turbo car. pretty capable of running up to 1400 rwhp. the 79 mustang notchback also a single turbo car was making about 600rwhp with a powerglide blowing thru its 3k stall that night. either car was really only a tune away from making a easy kill out of those crotchrockets. as for the cyber grey c6 z06, its stock!
if its 1400 capable please give us more details on the build and we'll tell you if it is or not. Most 1400hP cars dont run at 50%..

ROFLMNAO!
Well, courtesy and respect for other people and their work is once again lost in the SRK.
That's one Nasty Vette… and this without regard for all the clucking of the nay-sayin' hens.

Definitely agree with you there. My favorite was a guy trying to hustle on Pass Time. Car was a 408 with a 76mm rear mount. He didn't mention the turbo and all the guys thought they would be way off until he went a 12.x. Then they just laughed.

Rear mounts need to go away though. Paul Major was the rear mount poster boy and he moved his turbos to the front last year. If you think your car needs a rear mount you just need a better fab guy.

Rear mounts are for the "cheapie" who thinks it is convenient. But with the need for an oil pump, lots of hot and cold side piping, lots of wrapping and coating, loss of spooling, etc... It's just inferior. I do not care who tries to plead otherwise. Use the same setup on a front-mount turbo, it will spool better and makes better peak power, too.

LOL? Throw the tune on it and post the video. Otherwise its all speculation...
I could easily say I can just turn the boost up and run with UGR Lambos.. but its not always that easy and if he could do it, why didnt he?
As ive always said in racing, its typically safe to say most come prepared to "try" and win a race. Leaving something on the table is just a built in excuse for yourself.

I think if you take the time and do it right a rear mount it works amazing.
Ask me how i know.

No offense, but I'm not seeing anything that's "well-done". I'm seeing, "it's okay, but should have done a front mount".

Uh oh, are you going to leg-hump on a rear turbo mount, too?
Face it: rear mount turbos are for the people that don't want to put the effort into a mid or front mount turbo. And don't give me crap about space, I have seen people fit front mount turbos on a c5. And even if you want to be lazy, you could do something similar to UPP or APS, but single turbo.
And they're inferior, too. Tell me one good thing, other than "ease of setting up 40ft of pipes and ****". If he made that power, imagine what he could have done with a nicer setup.
There is no, "doing it right" with half-***. Only, "as best as one can half-*** it".
Even those who initially supported the hell out of rear mounts have moved on. Why? Because it is inferior. Why?
•extra weight of the 10,000 feet of pipes, oil lines, oil pump, etc.
•heat loss through 10,000 feet of hot side piping.
•worse spooling times, due to extra piping. This is where the, "OMG, mine is totally okay" BS starts. Switch your exact setup to a front mount, tell me how much better it is.
