GTO freeway race
Coming home from work I saw a black GTO next to me. We had a little room in front of us and we goosed a little. We were neck and neck but we could only go for a short burst. We got onto a toll road with no traffic and let it rip. We started at 70 and went to 110. I pulled right away and got about 2 on him before we shut down. I was impressed though, I thought I would pull away harder. A few mods and those will be in the high 12's.

just hope you get one that knows how to drive. I ran up on a guy heading home from work. he had just come from the dealer. I mean just drove off the lot. he had his girl in the car and I was coming on the highway I merged and heard him rev the engine. i was like hell yeah it is on like donkey kong. so I pulled up next to him the road was wide open and we hit it. I beat him like a red headed step child. i pulled on him like a scaleded dog. I was like WTF. so we lined up 2 more times and i payed no attention but once he got off I followed to a gas station. turns out this was his 2nd or 3rd time driving a stick car. got to give him props for only driving a stick once or twice then going out and buying an M6 GTO and driving it through atlanta back to greenville SC. his problem was he had it in 5th the whole time never down shifting. O well we all have been there and we all learn. just thought I would put my 2 cents in.

Sounds like me. When I bought my car a few years ago, I had only driven a stick 3 or 4 times (and it was an old corolla with a slipping clutch). There was beautiful weather the entire day, and as soon as I had signed the papers a three day Chicago blizzard started up (in APRIL!!). I had to follow my dad back about 40 miles on the highway like that...guess that's what happens when you buy a car on April fool's day. At least it makes it easy to remember how long i've had the t/a...
Either way, I can drive it like a raped ape now .

Haha, I just thought of something... He never said what year the GTO was... For all we know, it could have been an old school GTO. I think he was talking about the newer one, but you never know...
