My favorite thread might be the built ZL1 on meth, spray, fueled by tears of Jesus mixed with nitromethane, that lost to the 5.0 with some simple blower on it

"Camaro owner couldn't drive! The sun was in his eyes...at night! Blower is tooooo small!!"

I still say that the 5th has gotten a bad rap and it is not as bad as some make it out to be. I'd still rock one if given the opportunity to get one at a good price.

I agree, but as long as hammer will try to portray them as equal to the GT's, I will be a jackass about it, too.

I actually like the front end of the older mustang better than the new fusion looking one.

camera car is a stock 2012 ls3. but that's inconsequential to the point.

I've seen guys throw tons of money in to them just to run mid 11s or worse. Hell one guy has a lsx 427 maggie bigs littles making over 700wjp to run 10.8...now he added a 100 shot. Not to mention the the built rear end.

Do you get paid for that? Does FoMoCo sponsor you go around the forums and defend their beloved Mustang?

Man, I wish!

I prefer them, big deal. If you don't, you can spend your dollars on whatever you want! For real, no joke!

Nothing wrong with that imo. I'm not one for the whole "fanboy" bullshit.

No I hear ya man, I'm not defending 5th gens by any means, or saying they are complete **** either. Just saying the meaning behind both of those videos were the same, even though the outcome was opposite.

I do think the 5.0 is a better performer than the 5th gen. I would take a 5.0 over a 5th gen, but I would take a Vette over the 5.0

yea...If I did have a 5th Gen, it would HAVE to have the LS3, no doubt! However, with that said, all of GM motors are kick ***. It just happens to be in a heavy car which should not take away from how good the motors are.

Me, either.

If you're indicating I'm a fan boy, look through threads I've posted in about LS1's when it doesn't turn into a Ford v. GM battle.

I've openly admitted I love the look of Trans Ams & Formulas; Camaros aren't "me" but that doesn't mean they aren't a perfect fit for someone else, love the pushrod LS motors, I can genuinely appreciate the engineering that went into the motor. It's aluminum (awesome!), pushrod (awesome!), and has a huge aftermarket following (awesome!).

It's some of the cheerleaders behind them that really make me give 0 ***** if I appear to be an *******. There are a lot of people, with limited experience with other vehicles, who will buy an LS1 powered anything (see: LS1FTMFW a.k.a. 4pointslow on here) and think they have a world-beater.

Humility isn't very common anymore, so if the people who lack humility want to openly display their limited scope, I'll gladly be a ********.

(By the way, this isn't related to hammer at all, I know he created the thread and we bicker, but I am under the impression that he is experienced).

I wasn't calling you that at all. I meant that I'm not one to call you a "fanboy" because you prefer Ford over GM, or vice versa. We all have our preferences.

As soon as I saw that Hammer was the one that started this thread, I automatically knew the Fif Gen would be the one that won

And with 550hp to the wheels naturally aspirated. that's insane. What's it take to get an LSX there with no power adder?

The right selection of parts and a great tuner.
