Managed to set up a couple of runs with the new 2014 C7 Z51, Mustang 5.0 with full bolt-ons and a couple of Z06's. There was just way too many nutswingers by the end of the evening though, so the cops swarmed in and put an end to all our fun. Only one ticket for a red light was issued, thank goodness...

I would have been outta there after seeing two cop cars on the same road in a short period of time though. That is usually a good sign that the night is over or time to find another spot. LOL

What a difference it made going from starting at a lower RPM and MPH and short shifting a gear to driving it decent in the C7 vs 5.0 race.

I saw the same exact thing. Short shifted the 2-3 and ended up gettin railed for a bit and didn't catch back until like 130... and 2nd run, nailed shifts correctly, and 5.0 never got ahead at all.

Yep this is why i always make a big deal about how people drive with a stick car.


This is only short shifting by less than 1000 RPM's look at the difference. He's still shifting kind of funky anyways, with a better driver he would pull more on that 5.0.

Also i don't think this 5.0 was full bolt on, still needs other things for it to be a true "full bolt on" car.

So that speedo view....it came from somewhere, AKA a camera blocking the entire cluster, so I had to try and drive from the HUD. A little quirky, but didn't miss any shifts, so all is good.
