The Mustang made 470 at the crank? Yeah find out more details, that sounds like BS.

306s can be strong from what several guys on here say.

...and I'm one of those guys you speak of. However, 400 to the tire (which would be 470ish at the crank) from a 306 would be a donkey dick cam, high compression, huge intake and heads with a very narrow powerband. Lighter rods, pistons, crank, etc. to spin it pretty high, I would presume. I've personally never seen one but I guess that doesn't mean they don't exist.

I would assume such a car would have 0 streetability.

I thought you'd be the resident expert on modded GM 350's running 13's, though It's alright, you contribute to the terrible reputation of LT1's

Damnit, I knew that is what you'd come back with! Jerk!

13 flat in 2700DA in less than desirable conditions in a heavy ~250whp bolton LT1 WS6 - I'm ok with that

So, my 13 flat is still better than what you ran in a cammed car, correct?

I counted 3 or 4 excuses in your post, and yes your modified car with 48 more cubes ran hundredths of a second faster than my modified car

I'll play the excuse game, too. The (tiny) cam was installed advanced due to "dot to dot" install instead of actually degreeing the cam, and the thing flat fell on its face after 5000rpm because of this. The motor had decent heads but that's about it.

Doug is rubbing off on me - what can I say?

Were the heads stock as well on your old car?

LTjuan ain't **** without doz cubes and ebay headers!

If only we knew what we knew now! I'm done, I can't be mean that long - even if pretending.

Seems like to me even if your new build gets to a 12.8 you could still get your *** handed to ya by a solid bolt-on lt car.

So your cammed car didn't go as fast as a mild lt car.......sounds about right.

Bench racing at this point, but the only regret that I have with my old car besides buying it over an LS car is not running it in better air and throwing some skinnies on the front vs the heavy 275/40/17 ws6 wheels. It could have used a more precise tune as well, but even just some better air and some skinnies out front I would have been curious to see what it was capable of. That 13 flat really pissed me off.

Ohh well, car went to **** now... It seems to be whoring itself around to shitty owners on local Craigslist every once in awhile.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have never gotten rid of my 87 for my 95

Herp Derp Derpity Merp...my 302 was outran my a 350 oh me oh my! My same dogshit slow 95 outran an LT1 with at least exhaust on the highway...I have a kill thread about it way back when.

If my 86 doesn't go faster than 12.8 (assuming I don't completely **** the launch) then I'll drive it into an oncoming train

I would hate to see my old WS6 hacked up like your car.

It really was a clean car until all of the owners after me.

I would have bought the black 99 WS6 instead of my 97 WS6. Guy was going through a divorce and talked him down to a very nice cash price, but I was too cheap to go through with it.

You also never told me if they were stock heads on your 95, derp.

No they weren't. When I said the only thing decent on the motor was the heads, I sure as **** didn't mean the stock E7's.

That car looked like a pile of mismatched parts. Live and learn!
