Default Upcoming race 73 Charger vs DSM

Here are some brief facts about the cars: The charger is just shy of 4000 lbs with driver. The motor was built over the winter and made 550 HP at the crank and over 600 TQ. He will be running on ET Streets, its got a 3000ish stall, not sure about the rear gear.

All i know about the Eclipse is that it put down 340 HP at the wheels. Im assuming its FWD, but not positive. Not sure what it will be running for tires. Or the weight.

I am thinking the Charger will pull him pretty good. What do you guys think?

Could be close. Those modded DSM's dont **** around. If the car is that heavily modded, I'm sure the DSM is a competent driver. Most likely spraying. the DSM is also almost 1000 lbs lighter than what you mentioned for the charger, possibly more. It should be a decent race, but I'm still leaning toward the charger due to the tires and pure power. Get it on vid and post results, I'm interested if the DSM gets owned.

BTW is it a 1g or 2ndg eclipse?

I asked my friend, and he didnt know. I will try to get more details. Ill try to get a video. The best thing about the charger is that is looks like a pile. Its pea-soup green with some nasty peeling clear. It sure does run hard though.

Watch out that the DSM guy isn't bullshitting you... They can be pretty crazy little cars.

550hp and Rear wheel drive vs 340 and front. Charger will get a better hookup and pull. 100lbs isnt that big of a weight difference for so much more power.

My money is on the Charger with it 550 HP. It may not get the jump but it will pull hard.

I told the guy with the charger to lay down some VHT track spray on his side. If he hooks its all over I think.

i THINK DSMs are only the AWD eclipses/talons/3000GTs, so it's gonna at the very least hang with him on the launch.

I put my money on the Charger as well. A fwd with 340hp should be able to mid/high 12's with a good driver and I'm sure the Charger should be able to take it!

The GS-t's and TSi's are fwd, but if the badge says GSX or TSi AWD then it's AWD. The whole TSi thing was messing with me when first I got into them.

lol, I bet money that the charger will run in the mid 11's at worst, granted his car is put together properly and can hook, the dsm may hang to the 60' mark but the charger will own him! ............. I got $10 on the american muscle
