I agree with the posts on here. A Mach 1 tends to be a driver's race with an LS1 stock for stock, but as said, given equal driver skill, the LS1 has a 0.3 second advantage in the 1/4 - which makes me wonder if the same people who argue without thought on this debate feel that the LS3 Camaro SS is the same driver's race with the new 5.0 given that the advantage is to the 5.0 in 2 or 3 tenths?
Just a curiousity which I'm sure will stir this pot a little more...
IMO, MachXL8 hit the nail on the head with his post

I think so. If you really look at what each car has done in the hands of good drivers, they are both 13.0-12.8-ish ~110 mph cars stock. You could never argue that the LS3 is just as fast/faster as/than the 5.0 on the interwebs however, not when there are twice as many 5.0s running around, swaying the statistics largely in the 5.0s favor. Personally, I'd rather have the LS3 for more NA power..drop a little weight, cam it, gear it...I think you'd hurt plenty of feelings.

Irun14.2 has a hard time dealing with defeat. Adam your run sounds spot on from my experiences. Stoppy has good luck because he usually out tires the guys he runs. His car is also set up to run to about 90mph (hence why his run usually stop there). His strategy is get the jump then shut down. He knows the inevitable is going to happen.
I out tired these guys from a roll.
You can see I'm falling behind when we hit it, I spin in 2nd, and still GAIN ground in 3rd and 4th. But yes you are right, my car is definately setup for dig racing and the gears greatly hurt me from a roll.
When you have to put a driver in a LS1 and have him shift his own gears...

90mph is the top of my 3rd gear...You need to learn how to count. And you showed me a LS1 with more mods than my Mach 1 that barely ran faster than I did. Amazing job there man! Simply badass, I wish I had taken my "mani's" off and ported them but kept it a secret!
I think my sig says it all. And the fact that you said that backs up the N/A 4v 4.6Ls.
(IBF Hiho cries about the $150 set of used tires I got off craigslist that I had on at the track.)

Why are you even talking about the track? You have never ran your car on the 1/8 nor the 1/4. I would skull **** you on either (edit: with 17" wheels all around). Leave the track talk to Hiho and myself.
