Well fact is the ls1 is much better than a 2v, 3v,4v. The 5.0 is way better than any of those. So logic says it's not far off the 5.0. I think the 5.0 is more comparable to the ls6. Now if you want to thump your chest over a engine being comparable to a engine that's 9 years it's elder then go ahead. The 5.0 does run good, but it has merely caught up.

Thought you didn't engage in this kind of hoopla? Ha, but I will let ya know when I see a stock 5.0 run better than a 13 flat up here

That was a little harsh, but you get my point. It's time for people to come out from their shelter.

My 4v is comparable to about a Yugo motor. Not sure how the rest of the Mustang guys feel.
I would never even think of comparing a 32V DOHC motor to the LS1 pushrod motor especially in terms of volumetric efficiency.

Not a whole lot of them running around my area besides me and a few of my buddies, we go to rock falls in Wisconsin which has poor track prep but my buddies bone stock 2002 A4 ran 13.3, and another ran 13.2 stock with 6 speed and drag radials

I could agree that it was a solid kill. I also happen to question the tires on the F-body. It nearly lifted the front left and on regular radials, that simply won't happen if the set up is what's been described.
That's pretty accurate, really. Anyone can talk trash and it's all good, but you'd have to be either completely ignorant or a total fool to seriously believe the LS1 holds a candle to the 32V 5L.
GM didn't stop producing the LS1 because nothing better could be made. 'Nuff said????
You do realize, don't you, that you basically just said, "Hey y'all, watchisss" and then failed the landing, right? After all, bashing the Mustang for running 13.0's where you race, only to turn around and say the car(LS1 F-body) you're placing over it is even slower... just isn't a win. ![Cheers!!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_cheers.gif)
Covering those tracks? C'mon... You said earlier they were running 13 flat stock... now they had DR's... right.
You may not be aware of this, but the Mustang makes more power and torque than the old LS1... MUCH MORE power, to be sure. It's also well documented to be quicker, so why carry on with such a charade?
So far, that would like Sugar Ray Leonard, in his prime, challenging Cassius Clay in his...![EEK !!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_eek2.gif)
Even if you wanted to do it, you won't.
