You will honestly do anything you can to argue that the lt1s were amazing engines wont you? Ive seen you argue with people about how lt1s are just as good as ls motors an so forth.

Point has been proven that a pushrod 5.0 can easily keep up with an equally modded lt1. Now you have nothing else to say, so instead of just admitting defeat like a good boy, you decide to throw in some dumb story (in which i dont give a damn about) about how you dad owned some raggady boat with a 5.0 as the anchor. Ok cool, so should i go attach a 305 to my boat, since they are god awful engines?

Wait, so you setup this whole thread to troll Puck? Sad if that's the case.

The fox is the lighter platform and can 60 foot better. Friend's 5.0 with bolt ons and cam(260 whp) did 12.9 @ 103 mph with a 1.5 60 foot. They would et the same but would trap higher.

So a H/C 302 is able to go 118++ in the quarter? Your argument, MOD FOR MOD. Doesn't work out. Not even when talking bolt on territory, guys have gone 108-111 mph+ with bolt ons, thats like a regular run of the mill setup h/c 302. Maybe back in the day the LTx was slower because of lack of aftermarket support but from what ive seen mod for mod the 302 can't hang. Sometimes you guys really stretch the **** out of whats real and not real.

Show me one post of mine where I say an LT1 is just as good as an LS motor. Hint: it never happened. The LS is the superior motor, period. Those 23* heads have a hard time keeping up, and the small bore limit of the LT1 block keeps it from competing on a high level without tons of boost.

5.0 on the other hand?

Keep trying, this is entertaining.

AI had a combo that went 10s at 127 mph at 3100lbs. Im almost 100% those 125+ mph 302s were int he 2500-2600lb race weight. Imagine how fast that LTx would go at that weight. Stop being so ignorant and open your eyes. Mod for mod the 302 cannot hang. Period.

Throwing this out there. Stock LS6. Wear it.

Since we're talking about motors that aren't even related to the OP's posted race. ^^^Why not.

Impressive car, not saying it isn't but you just proved my point. Take 200lbs or 150lbs out of the car for driver weight and what do you have? 3100lbs in that camaro was without driver. Anything that can go 125mph in the 1/4 NA is a FAST car, now with a 302 with just h/c thats insane. My friend has a h/c/carbed 302 thats pretty light car was a riot back in highschool.
