If so, the Vette caught him in 8 seconds at double the mph the Subie is going (Arctic logic would equate to roughly 240 mph). Must be the fastest stock DR Vette known to man

Agreed. Did he short shift? Change the gearing in that car? No way that Subie was "half way through 5th @ 120" in 8 seconds.

The actual race was supposed to be eighth, it was too close to call at eighth as cars were side by side, both drivers are competitive so they kept racing, lol. it wasn't for money so it didn't matter who won, lol!

FYI, I don't mind Subaru's at all, but your arguement for shifts and speed at the 1/8th for the WRX(ZR1 blew by him halfway through 3rd ~ 100mph, with a minimum 35mph advantage), just doesn't make any sense...and we tend to like logical arguements on this site, unless you're just trolling...then you caught me.

And I didn't pick the slowest vid I could find either, there were plenty on Youtube of 300awhp Subie's running high 13's.

not trying to troll, or be a nutswinger, but im just going by what i saw in the video and what i know about subarus. the video i posted i ran 1-3 and let off almost right after i hit 4th which was about 90-95. so LOGICALLY if he was in 5th that would say he is going faster than 100 mph. i dont know the exact mods on the subaru in the video and i havent heard a lot about doing gears in them. so when i watch the second part of the video (gopro on the subaru) and i hear him run 1-4 and then shut down right after he shifts into 5th im going to assume that hes going the same speed any other subaru would be going when you shift 4th to 5th.

Can we at least agree that he was not going 120mph in 8 seconds?

I think it is obvious the car is either geared, or the driver was shifting early or??

Like I said, that ZR1 was half way through 3rd which is right around 100mph, and he clearly had at least 30mph on the Subie, meaning he was at 70-75mph when the ZR1 freight-trained him.

Even in the video I posted, the Subaru didn't get into 5th in the 1/4, let alone an 1/8th!

To clear a few things up, the Subaru let out at 90 as that is what it traps in the 1/8th at the track. Since the car is still stock turbo, it gets shifted @ about 6k because it stops making power. It was pretty obvious that the ZR1 was going to blow the doors off on the big end. And 295 Toyo R888s on all 4 corners with launch control set to 6300 are the other half of the story...
