Sure the 5.0 did fine. Nothing wrong with the way that car ran. But to think a short roll tells that tale is asinine. Why be pissed??....it won against a modded car. How do you think a dig race would've went?

I think a dig would've been fine. That C7 auto is so slow off the roll it would absolutely be in its element from a dig... until it shifts, right?

slightly more than inches...to assume that the mustang won in that race is ludicrous. did the vette win by a car?? no. but from that camera's view point, if the mustang were winning, you'd see a lot more of that corvette than what's shown in frame.

Not seeing it. Watched the video again and the 'Vette started half a car ahead and ended half a car ahead. Inches if you count that final shift a second before the run ends. So, to recap for everyone, from 40-120 the 'Vette didn't pull an inch on an intake/tune 5.0. That sucks...

A 1LE and a 5.0 is a good race. The major flaw with the 5th gen SS m6 performance wise besides weight is gearing. 1LE fixes that problem. Too bad more people with them don't post or drag race them. I have to say like a GTO,5th gens are despised by most car fanatics. I have problem launching one without wheelhop as well. I am sure there is a fix for that.
Snakes build has nothing to do with 5th gen having a bad rap. So no one can bad mouth a 5th gen unless they own a modded faster car? That is silly. I should hope a bolt on LS3 could beat a mild heads cam 302/06.

You make my point for me. In every thread you yak about a fif gen and how awful you think they are. All at the same time your build will be lucky to be within 5 cars of a proper bolt-on fif gen. What does that make your car if fif gens are so awful?

Oops, just saw "bolt on". Even so, I think he'd pull out the win against the majority of bolt on fifth gens. In any event, Mike's point stands...the argument is kinda silly.
