My ******* dog slow 95 railroaded a 5th gen from a roll. Like horrible...thread is even on here from a couple years ago...that race had to be gearing/carrying an elephant in the trunk/not running right problems, though for the fifth gen

Snakes build has nothing to do with 5th gen having a bad rap. So no one can bad mouth a 5th gen unless they own a modded faster car? That is silly. I should hope a bolt on LS3 could beat a mild heads cam 302/06.
1LE > 5.0.....and I like them both.

Snake is non stop bashing on fifgen's. We both know he would be lucky to run with a proper bolt-on one in a straight line......and get his *** curb stomped errywhere else. Why bash on a car that can do that??.....ooohh because furd life

LOL.....so you want to run a h/c/i furd @ 2800lb against stock fifgen.....figures

Majority????? I said proper.....HUGE difference.

It was a good run. If the C7 tranny tune is anything like the crap *** tune on a stock G8 from the factory they really hurt the performance of the cars. The vette lost/won depending how you look at it. I think a tune would really wake the C7's up.

Awwww look at him get defensive! Lmfao my coupe is an 80s tech pushrod 302 and you're defending the 6.2L 5th gen car like it should even be a race 2800lb? I don't have a clue what my race weight would be without driver but with driver I guarantee it's over 3000lbs. I'm 240.

Well for a GM guy here, I've had a hard on for the new mustang 5.0's here lately I would have to say it was a dang good run. But the vette lifted right after the 5.0 shifted to 4th, that being said the vette was about to separate himself from the 5.0. Good run

1LE>5.0 in the corners.

5.0 > 1LE in acceleration.

It does not take a base 5.0 to outrun a ls3 camaro.

If two cars make similar power and both are geared accordingly, wouldn't it make sense that the lighter one would be quicker in a straight line?

5th gen is almost as heavy as my trailblazer...it's not a surprise that the 5.0 has its way with them.

So funny Hio cries about weight when it's GM < Ford

But sure does leave out his sub 3k weight a lot when he's yapping them gums I've been sitting back more lately and just watching and Hiopocricy is a great name for you

I agree. At the very end the Vette was pulling ahead a pretty quick pace, and let off once he knew it was over? I don't see what the debate is even about lol.

Hardly..... I would say if anything it was an evenly matched race with the vette having the upper the faster they go.... aerodynamics and lower center of gravity and all the other technique stuff that the vette has over the mustang. Now the mustang did awesome and for a 30k car to keep up with a 55-70k car is awesome to see even if it wasn't stock. I can only hope my cammed G8 can do the same
