I give him credit there. 120mph traps makes for a good running car. What could be my issue with that is if it was after a long cool down/ice down. It's common for cobro's to do that and I think it is somewhat misleading to the cars street performance. The couple buds I had with them never went 120 with the mods he claims.

hot off the street I trapped 118.8. After the cool down it went 120. This in on a 3400' DA But this is full weight in street trim. I think your friends who go make hero runs after doing the same long cool downs on slicks and skinnies, vht prep, and stalled autos are a bad indication of what they will run on the streets. you have to know that slicks and skinnies are worth at least .5 at the track off of a street set up since your captain drag racer.

Alright, only to try & be fair, i've heard a lot of previous hounding on Cobro's 1/4 mile times. Hio's best time (equalized between new & old) say 11.1 @ 130mph.

I hot lap and only have one friend with a auto....that'd be Mike Morris. He went .4 quicker than you. With a altitude compensator your engine don't much care about da.

The biggest advantage the mach has is the 8.8
It would drop closer to 100lb.

Surely you can't think this way. That would eliminate the vast majority of...well...any cars in existence. If that's your opinion, fine, but damn man, 120 is flat moving by any standard. Not defending Cobro, just astonished at your perspective.

This is why LS1 tech is the biggest circle jerk onplanet earth. Ou guys think your junk as LS1s are fast. Obviously you dot knowdick about drag racing. I'm trapping 120mph! That backs up every bit of my 450rwhp. You guys don't know what it's like to have REAL power on street tires. Hookijng that up isn't easy. I'm not one of the Internet cars you guys use to claim their track times. I'm not a gutted, car on 4.10s, stalled auto, slicks skinnies. You guys with bolt ons that think your faster are living in a dream world.

There are some on here with blinders, naturally. But the majority of the guys on this site are good people with realistic expectations. The LS1 is most certainly not junk, not by any stretch, though your opinion seems to differ. Your car will indeed beat a lot of them, but that doesn't take away from what they can accomplish either.
