So the grade of fuel I put in and the fact that I was with a chick from POF makes the race fake? Lol...okay. You guys can think whatever you like. That supercharged snake still lost the race.

I mean, all of that happening at the same time kinda makes it ridiculous man. Could have at least sent us a picture of the girl on the camaro with the GT500 kids crying in the background

Is the 4th gen an LT1? I'll line up with anyone. I also put a beat down on a Nissan 370z the other night. Pulled about 3-4 cars from 45 to 115 ish.

87 octane lid/catback LS1's are well known for big power. what maybe 280-300rwhp on 87? less?
lid catback on 87 octane really? most cars lose an easy 20hp just from knock sensors pulling timing. and it will pull timing like crazy on 87.

I talked to the previous owner last night about how the car ran on 87 octane. And what he usually put in. He said that he had the octane tables removed from the tune. So the car doesn't pull timing. He also said that he had the shift points bumped up to 6k. Along with removing the tq management

so it is pulling timing. and killing power. you can globally pull timing and if enough is pulled it will run decent on 87. but power is off. using 87 is no problem these days. knock sensors are going to test the octane continuously. keep it alive they will. usually a PID loop and a .5 degree at a time.
im not arguing or calling you out. 87 is no monster power maker. lid/catback.

lol its ok man. if it doesn't pull timing it blows the motor apart. period. detonation is controlled by the knock sensors, and disabling them guarantees lower power and blown pistons.
