The C7 really is an awesome car. So was the owner. I spent a fair amount of time chatting with the Vengeance Racing crew at the event, and walked away impressed. Wish they were closer.

Thanks, glad you guys liked it. ![Cheers!!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_cheers.gif)
Next 1/2 Mile event is in October. I hope to be there if the clutch is fixed or can be run as is. Would be nice if the new GoPro3+ I bought for this event would work too. I ran it as the rear view cam with the mic hooked up every race, and it randomly shut off all day. Fortunately, it captured this race.

looks like some but hurt in here....lol I have to agree with Hammer to a certain extent. Although I like the gt I have never been impressed with it's performance. For a supercar the performance of it was just mediocre in every category. That said I would still love to have one.......be a great candidate for a ls swap

I didn't take it negatively at all, the run is what it is. ![The Patriot !!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_patriot.gif)
I added the shifting comments because I raced a supercharged C7 Vette as well. My runs were ultra consistent at 154 first pass, followed by 157, 157, 157. He was running 147-153 all day...so I would have most likely won if I didn't screw up. Unfortunately, he didn't get a clean run in our race and he accidentally but it in 5th instead of 3rd...then for some reason stuffed it in 4th instead of 3rd. He rode out his pass in 4th, and I screamed by him like he put it in park. It was fun to race the car, but bittersweet in that it wasn't a clear nor fair run. Those C7's just rip out of the hole though. Insane!![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)
Anyway, the Ford GT guy probably shifted as slow as I do. I'm slow on the launch and shift medium fast. Still running on the stock rear diff and trans, and I have no intention to break them any time soon. I'm being ultra careful in my runs that day, due to a clutch engagement issue. Popped up on the drive from the hotel to the runway. It grinds slipping from a standstill. Once engaged, it's perfectly fine...as you can see. Since I had to drive back 3hrs home that day, I eased out of the hole and once the rear was loaded up and the clutch fully engaged...I just stomped the pedal.![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)

Got to Love Wanntagofast 1/2 shootouts, every gear head should do Two things.
First - Power Tour.
Second - 1/2 mile shootout.
In any order!

All the GT did was exhaust, pulley swap and tune and I had a hell of a time trying to keep up with my extremely modified LS motor. The GT motor with the blower is a beast. Light mods and they run hard.
