My friend's shop just got their dyno up and running - if anybody in my area has HP tuners or any other software, he can hook me up with some dyno time for cheap if you're willing to help out.
You really need a fast 102 (ported) and a 100mm maf first before you tune. Your probably leaving 20-25 hp on the table w/o them on your big motor. Plus extending your usable rpm.

That's a good running car, he didn't say if he was tuned or not. His car is also a 6 speed stick car.

Yeah I know that would net me some power, but it's hard to justify the price of a FAST intake setup for 25 horsepower. I could also run some 1 7/8 headers but this car isn't a max effort setup. For the price of the FAST I could run a 100 shot, but this car is just a fun street car for now.

When funds allow one day, I'd love to put a built rear and a turbo setup but it just isn't plausible right now.

That's why I HAD to rerun this guy in the Mustang and show him this LS car will dominate him lol. Thanks Jay, I was a little apprehensive since I hear these cars run so hard and beat heads/cam cars. But the race went as I thought it should have. I'd like to run a full bolt on car after I get my car tuned.
You beat him as you should have, if you didn't then there would be some figuring out to do with your car. Nice kill!

Yep, I thought so as well. After I originally got the car back together with the new cam, headers, and intake it felt lacking in the upper RPM's. Turns out the LS7 clutch wasn't holding up, and was slipping up top. Eventually the problem really presented itself when the pressure plate would give up at 5000 RPM and the engine would snap to redline with the clutch sticking to the floor.

I'm still in break in on this clutch so I hadn't really got to test if the car was still lacking up top. Nope! It screams now lol. That's why I was somewhat apprehensive.
