Default Took down an SRT4

So a friend of mine has an srt 4 and im telling him his car is probably faster than mine but hey he doesnt wanna listen and id like to find out for myself anyway. So we finally get the chance on the way home from this cofee shop. both of us had people in our car and we line up heading back on a practically empty parkway and take off. Needless to say i guess i was wrong i pulled on him....quiet easy as a matter of fact. Maybe it was the driver?

ROTFL!!!!

Yeah seriously though, those things are pretty quick ... he really probably should have pulled you hard. Did you ask him if he just rebadged a regular neon as an SRT4?

I would like to see what some of the guys at the SRT4 site thought the reason for this would be .... anyone who still goes over there ask them, i'm curious as to what they think.

Nice kill.

I'd think they'd just blame it on a bad driver. But hell, good kill.

Nice Kill!

Also, I am pretty sure if it was rebadge you would know. You can here the turbo on the SRT4 when it launches.

Not to mention the BOV, especially if it is aftermarket.

I ran against one of those things the other day and the turbo spool is very loud. I only heard it for about 2 seconds though, due to the distance I put on him. SRT guy later told by my exhaust sounded great.

This is true. I guess it was just a really bad driver then.

srt and srt4 are completely different but i did run one on the highway. i didnt want to really but he egged me on i had my cutout closed too so he probably thought i was stock. anyway we both slowed to fifty and then i took off a little before he did and then he took off. second gear i got a lenght or two then 3rd i pulled hard so i let off. pretty dissapointed from all the hoopla i have heard about those cars.

There's no such thing as an "SRT", there's only an SRT-4 (which are all manuals, by the way). Do you mean SXT?

a buddie of mine w/ a bolt on mustang ran one the other night. the mustang ran a best of 8.73 @ 81mph (1/8). the neon had a loud *** blow off valve. he told us it was stock . i have a hard time believing that. it was loud. well we raced him twice and i rode along just for ***** and giggles. he was alone. we rolled up about a 10 roll and my buddie stole the **** out of him. i kept waiting for him to pull back up to us but never got close. there was about a full car between us. he told us he was going to put a stage 1 kit on and the mustang wouldnt have a chance.my buddie said bullshit, he would bolt on gas and spank him again. i told him i would run him w/ a slow camaro . he is sposed to get back w/ us.

you guys can't tell the difference between an sxt and an srt-4? you need to brush up on your car knowledge. the differences are pretty obvious. huge wing on the srt-4. huge viper-esque front fascia. no neon badge. etc.

i mean, you can tell the difference between a firebird and a trans am, cant you?

It's the new fad - a turbo charged 4 cyl. It's efficient and somewhat quick. I'd never buy one. A turbo charged 4-door? No thanks.
