Its a solid engine, no doubt about it. But once it comes down to CAM choices and valvetrain setup, it normally becomes anyones game. Some of the people who set up their cams normally **** it all up with valvetrain 'compliments', or having a fear of daily drivability.

Has not been my experience that they blast an ls6. I have ran them stock for stock and my 04 pulls on it. Not crazy but it does. Also i think not sure but only the gxp has the same gear as the v in it. Now those are another story. I ran only one of those and it was always a drivers race. None from a dig. All highway. So yea when mods are about the same = as expected.

There are some nasty G8 GTs out there, hands down. The G8 interior trumps the V1, since its a newer style generation, but the V1 feels like a raw driver's car in comparison.

the job of installing l76/l92/ls3 heads is done for the g8 gt.
440rwhp. VERY easy for a L76.
more. easy also.
full bolt on/tuned and cammed l76 is hard to beat without more cubes.
