Default Monte 3.9 vs 2010 Altima 2.5s?

I have a guy from work who has a 2010 Altima with the 2.5 4 cylinder. We was all talking in the break room and he came outta no where saying he ran a 13.3 quarter mile time in a bone stock 2.5s. He asked me what do I run and I said I never been to the track, he responds saying that slow pos Monte will get destroyed by me. So we are gonna race tomorrow night after work if it dont rain. What are my chances against his Altima? I know its completely stock. I dont really know alot about Nissan cars but I believe a 2.5 Altima should not be running a 13.3, I can believe the 3.5 with its 270 hp v6 running a time like that, but a 2.5??? Has anyone had a run in with a 2.5 Altima?

If he had the V6, he would take you.............The 4s are "spunky" but your car should take him..............Just be on your game though. These 4cyl cars in this class can be pretty quick against American V6s.

Man I can't believe anyone with an Altima 2.5 thinks they are quick. I had one as a rental car and it was an absolute turd.

Amen. Its always a bench race with this Monte Carlo guy. One time, ok... but twice. Just GO ******* RACE THE GUY. Stop living in fear with your slow Monte. There's no reason you should lose but if you do, at least you would of had the ***** to do it instead of signing in here asking if you could, and looking for hope from people.

Agreed!. It keeps things real. It does not matter what car you have . If you like your car and want to run and modify it, that do it. Just gets some vids. LOL

Yea man....I liked the v6 stang stories too. I wonder where those guys have been

+1 on the vids

Racin junk like this is what initially attracted me to gm. I always thought their normal crap ran better than most.....that was back in the 80's/90's though.

It takes the 3.5L Altimas full boltons/tune (or a 75 shot) and usually tires to hit bottom 13s (low/mid 14s stock). I'd have believed him if he said 15.3.

OP ask you work friend if he was mistaken and ran 13.3's in the 1/8th. That would seem more reasonable.

So a stock altima 4 banger runs similar times to stock LS1's...******* rofl...you should have told him that your car ran like a 15.2 and then after you whoop his ***, be like "I thought you run 13.3 yo??"
