Why do 5.0s run like shit

Heh.. I have one... yes it is slow(not the 2.0 Ecoboost model... they actually move pretty decent)... but it gets 34mpg hwy miles and ride very nice. Not a bad car overall. Really good DD. Yes I know.. I need springs... but actually may be trading it in.. so waiting until I decide.

Actually I didn't say 98 Cobro is better than an LS1 F-Body. You came to that ridiculous assumption since I left it open. That is your fault, not mine.
Considering I own a 03 Cobra, one could just as early assume that is the car I was inferring. You, wanting to continue the **** talking, decided to pick a Cobra that you feel is inferior instead.
Also, I was referring to the looks only, not the performance. So considering looks are subjective, and you can't force your opinion on anyone else, it is very possible for someone to think 98 Cobro>any F-Body.
And as far as that goes. I do in fact think the 96-98 Cobras looked better than the LS1 Camero.

The Fusion really is a great looking car. I planned to buy one myself, once I decided not to get another big SUV or full size truck... then I passed due to the simple fact, no dealers would work well on pricing... they all just wanted sticker for what I wanted(2L Titanium), so I bought the Escape Titanium instead... much the same really, but bigger storage. I went through 25 or so other models of various brands 1st though, and that really did suck in the end.
The Fusion looks much better than the Escape to me, but the similarities are undeniable and the interior is almost identical in many areas, save the center console and center section of the dash, where the Escape shifter is... anyway, back to our useless initial thread of stupid.

#1, a new 2L, at least in the Escape, needs to be broken in. Mine got continuously better economy per tank... sad part is, it began around 18.3-18.8mpg(can't remember, but 18. something) and that SUCKS! Today, it gets closer to 26mpg(unless I drive spirited)... 13,4xx miles. That's combined, not city or hwy. It is "loaded" in a sense. It hasn't got 4WD or rear entertainment(accessory), but I can't think of anything else missing, well unless 19's vs 18's really matters. I thought the larger wheels could cost economy and acceleration. My last SUV got 20hwy when I bought it and maybe 15 when I traded... overall was more like 12.7 though(so 18 wasn't all bad).
#2, and just as importantly... YOU ADAPT to the Escape... I didn't expect any changes in my driving, but that's because I was used to driving a V8 rather than a 4 popper and boy, did I have to get used to the changes. Initially, I was ALL OVER the throttle in this thing. It doesn't have V8 low end grunt, period... it's got plenty of moving power, but a V8 effortlessly moves a heavy vehicle at a decent rate of acceleration and the turbo 4 needs about 3-5 seconds to spool up... once it does, you find yourself letting off the pedal... this costs economy. It took me at least 6k to get used to the takeoff on dry road. On wet road, I still get it wrong... nothing... then... wheelspin... just like that. Of course, my last vehicle also had AWD and I was quite happy about it!
PS reviews are out for the new Mustang GT manual (and others) and it's running about 12.8-13.0 on the 1/4 mile. The last one is quicker, as I suggested it may be, by a tick. Just thought I'd share that.

The one test I've seen it was about a tenth of a second off the pace of the last 5.0 they tested, but 1/2 a mph faster. I'm sure with practice it will be just as quick.
