If I had to guess, I'd say the gto has a small weight disadvantage in this match up

Front wheel drive turbo cars are fun as hell to ride in. A buddy of mine builds neons and man it is crazy to feel 50lbs of boost in a FWD car. It pulls so differently.

What belt/procharger is on that goat?

Not sure what belt it is, but I believe it's ~14psi on a d1sc. Blower is maxed out for now. Its on e85 and is a 408 stroker

Yeah if it's a 6 rib(super common)...it's like running a 255 tire on a big power car. Traction for the belt,..starts to go away the harder you spin it. Not making excuses for the goat at all...just saying,..anyone running THAT kind of power...needs to be on an 8 rib or more to really get traction on that thing. That's the whole reason I got out of blowers.....too many variables and high dollar brackets.

D1Sc cars usually don't make 800rwhp... not usually anyways. Typically 750rwhp on average...although I have seen hot tuned/meth cars running 850rwhp with a 6 speed. Regardless, it got walked...just trying to make sense outta it other then the obvious weight deficit.

Thanks for info.

800whp and 4000lbs vs 700whp and 2250lbs MAYBE. Pretty self explanatory lol. My car with 100 less whp and ~2700lbs still gave it a run from 55 with my awful driving.

Not only the weight difference but the power under the curve. Peak power numbers are just that. If a supercharged car makes 750whp at the tippy top of the rpm band then a turbo car that has a nice beefy midrange will move out.
