The camaro I spoke of was not a 1le. Just a regular 12' SS Camaro.
The chassis is fine on that car. No suspension needed.
What those car's need is some rotating out........they have a astronomical amount of rotating weight for a performance car. Getting as much of that out as you can is a priority and will then free up the hp already there and every hp added after that.
If you're gonna make a 5gen run that's where you start.

@10psi with the Edlebrock TVS kit, he made 598rwhp. That was with ls9 cam and headers. He just put ona set of GM performance CNC LS3 heads, and was running out of fuel pump(pressure dropping) and just added a Boost-a-pump. Pressure stable all the way up now.. He is highly considering an AGP twin turbo kit now. Will be selling his PD blower setup.
I am now trying to talk him into building a spare shortblock and have it waiting for the stock one to blow. He wants 800rwhp out of the stock bottom end.... I dont think that will last long.

1le 's has tested as fast as 12.7. I have yet to see a SS test that fast.
Sounds like he is on his way to building a beast.
We actually agree here. I have been trying to talk my buddy into getting the roational weight off his 13' 1LE. He wants to keep the heavy stock wheels because he likes them and wants the car to appear stock. Tried talking him into a driveshaft.. which he might do sometime in future.

And yeah, he is getting it setup. Its a really good looking car like it sits. Makes me miss the speed. We are going to head out and pick some fights in it in a couple weeks.

Here's the 1LE package:
The final drive is the only thing I see that would make it quicker than an SS. It seems like all of the extra kit may even make it heavier than a base V8 car. Maybe the dual mode exhaust helps a little as well?
When my car was stock I pulled on a stock LS3 SS by about 2-2.5 cars.
