what's the excuse going to be now GM?

I dont see the GTR reference honestly. I hate the looks of a GTR. But love the GT350.
I also dont understand how the same car can be so closely compared to the Honda Accord... and then compared to the GTR in terms of looks. When a Honda Accord and GTR look NOTHING alike. Can someone explain this one to me?

I think the gt350 looks great.....same for the r model that is a 2seat car and not a direct competitor to the z28. It's nice that furd can actually best a chassis and engine that is nearly 10 years old......lol
Hopefully we will get to see some head to heads and hopefully gm will do a 6gen z28. The longer this goes on the more likely the base models that are somewhat affordable will benefit.

Both v8s
Both track versions of base vehicles
Both CC brakes
Both track based suspension
Both dropped weight
Both extensively developed at the ring
...
I can keep going.

Ford actually stated that the R model was the direct competitor for the Z28. They wanted to build a car that would retail for 75k. I dont see how no back seat would have anything to do with it. You can argue the Z28 isnt a direct comparison then because it has no radio. Seems silly. The laguna seca doesnt have a back seat and Id prefer that. I hate having back seats... but i hate aftermarket seat deletes and dont feel like spending 1500 on an OEM Ford seat delete for my car.
I couldnt live without a radio...
The difference between the GT350 and the GT350R is what the the difference between the Boss and Laguna Seca should have been. But the Laguna was a stupid gimic. Only real benefit is it had substantially better tires.

I think thats a 5k option from the factory....sadly. Now its an $80k car. I cant see how getting rid of the two most important features of a car... was their first thought for removing weight. Youre talking no more then 65-75lbs total. Just seems silly.

So no comment on furds latest greatest competing with 10 year gm stuff??....lol
I personally think there is a huge difference in stuff being designed from the ground up for a specific purpose rather that adapting old stuff to work. The camaro has been a adaption of a sedan chassis since day one. Gm done a fine job of making it work but it's got it's limits.
