Yep you guessed it. A rude, smack talking gt owner pulls up next to me at a light as I am minding my own business. I look over and he is like nice car man. Well nothing wrong there so I reply thanks alot. Well thats when this peanut yells over to bad you overspent on that when you could have gotten a vortech "supercharger" for way less and got alot more ponies. I am like your car looks nice, thats what I am gonna buy my daughter. Well he revs up and is like whats up. So I rev up and it's on. Turning signal goes yellow so I rev a lil and when the light goes green I am off. Well spun pretty good and he got me out of the hole thanks to traction control. But when I hit second I just pulled on him like the punk he was and by the end of third he was a bus behind and gave up I guess. Well the next light is red and there is a car infront of me and I was waiting for him to pull up next to me but he got in the turn lane and exited stage left.
Funny thing is I didn't know there was a vortech supercharger. I thought it was some import thing

Yeah the 4.6 2V doesn't seem to take well to S/C. The local Mustang club held a dyno day and invited us camaro guys out. Kid had a 01 Bullit with a Vortech S/C and put down like 280rwhp or so??? Well I don't remember but it was less than 300RWHP... was he ever pissed

280?? Are you sure. Stock for the 01 was like 240 and I would hope the S/C would get more then 40hp. I usually see aftermarkets put down around 340 but if you are correct that is just awfull. I did see a Roush owner with a Stage 3 pull 320 something. It was older and stock but he was PO'ed

 

Actually the 01 Gt's had 260 at the fly wheel which comes to like 220 or so at the wheels assuming 15% drivetrain loss. So 70 hp from a 6 psi vortech w/o aftercooler is about right.

 

I was giving the bullit the 10-15 extra horses they suposedly get
But either way it is a bummer for him @ 6psi

 

He should be pissed I made 348rwhp on a very close to stock GT (xhaust and intake) w/ a shitty vortech tune. So thats kinda funny

 

A vortech w/out a cooler puts out around 8psi and even on 6psi WILL add more then 70rwhp. So that 01GT had some problems (big time)
