Okay everyone I'll be making my first trip to the track this Saturday to race my friend's bolt on 5.0 I'll be posting the videos after I get them. Just wanted to get some input on expected outcomes before the race.
-My car
Tsp 224r cam
Hooker LT's
SLP catback
Hooker off road 3.5 " Y pipe
SLP lid
No back seats, no EGR, no tire/jack
Toyo TQ's 315/35/17 (about 3000 miles until bald)
-5.0
Track pack w/ 3.73's
CAI
Borla catless H pipe
Borla stingers
Bama tune
Pro 5.0 shifter and I believe stock 235 Pirelli tires

You should have no problem. Especially with him on 235 Pirellis. Lol. I wouldn't even waste my time with those tires.

I don't see this ending well for you nick.

But if can can port your tb, replace that neck down where your catback and y come together and descreen/and port your maf. Those alone are probably worth .2 to you.

Gears and a better intake will help you out quite a bit.

Should be a close race. I'd be willing to bet the better driver comes away with the ET win. The 5.bro will probably out trap you so make sure you practice your launch a few times before running him.

As mentioned above, I'd take some time to focus on the small things like free mods and weight reduction. 315's are actually more tire than you need at your power level and will hurt your acceleration after the launch. Use tricks like over-inflating your front tires and staging shallow to gain those extra hundreths.

Yep...most don't think of that. The extra 8-10 lb per wheel/tire gets to be very significant when it gets stacked up behind **** like a ls7 clutch too. It's very easy to add 30-40lb of rotating weight when one is not paying attention.

I was running 285/45/17 nitto 555 summer tires but I took them off for this Saturday.
