Or because SN95s are $500-$1500 in my area for good condition ones.. Waaaaayyy cheaper than any GM vehicle in my area. Besides an S10. It's between SN95 or an S10.

I'd think the S10 would be a cheaper swap in the end, though it would be pretty sweat to have an SN95 with a turbo 5.3.

I've figured out most of the cost, they both come in the same price range (when build all said & done). Bad thing about S10 is that I would need k member (I think) & good thing about the SN95, I can use stock k member and stock hood. Just subtle costs like that that are making me lean towards the SN95 platform. Also an 8.8 rear end bolts right in to the SN95, direct fit. Makes the build a little easier. It sounds weird to say but I'd have to do more custom stuff on the GM chassis (S10) to get the 5.3 turbo swap to work than I would on the SN95.

However, I still have plenty of time to be persuaded to do the S10.

Shouldn't have to mod the frame unless you keep the A/C in the stock location (I ordered the A/C and alt relocation kits). If the cost is the same, the SN95 would be pretty sweet, 5.3 S10s are a dime a dozen (kind of the reason I'm doing mine, saves me having to do anything crazy to make it work and I'm lazy after the headache of a build my SRT8 was).

Yes, definitely wanting to keep AC no matter what build I do but relocation of front drive accessories isn't a problem if that has to be done. I also been reading that it is hard to use stock truck manifolds on an S10 for a turbo build. I've read most people custom make they're own do to fitment issues.

Very nice, thanks. I've seen pics of your car with the street setup, looks killer! I had to get the deats.
