Default "Cam only" ls1 vs minor bolt ons LS1

Friendly runs against my buddies car. He wanted a baseline before he does any further mods. Currently he's full exhaust , hypertech tune, 4.10s , lid. Car performs really well for what it is. Can't wait to get some 4.10s in my car !

So you're full bolts and 3.42's with the cam?

Just your basic bolt ons. Ls6 intake , ported TB, headers , cam and 3.42s. This run was at 50mph it was around 60 degrees out and my car was spinning at 40mph. So we had to bump it up to 50mph. His bread and butter is 40 on those 4.10s. But we were just trying to hAve something to compare before and after you know.

Gotcha. You pulled pretty hard. It's amazing how well these motors respond from a simple cam swap

That hyperjunk tune is hurting him. Put a stock tune back in it and run again for ***** and giggles. When i had a hyperjunk it took .2-.3 outta my car with the ls1......back to back at the track.

Nice runs, I agree about the Hypersuck. The only time I've seen it do anything worth a **** was on a lid CB A4 Camaro....

Yeah those hypertechs seem to screw some stuff up... Back when I was Lid/FRA and LS6 cam (only mods) I couldn't do any better than 13.0x @ 107 on the hypertech, pulled the hypertech off and went 12.8 @ 110 (same day/same track) Junk
