I could see both sides of the argument here.
At the end of the day you're talking about a different stock cam and different stock set of heads.
If you had a 1999 LS1 and put in a 2001 LS1 would you still call that a swap? Heads and cam changed...intake at the most.

Edit: Only a few amount of ls6 blocks came in fbombs.

Doesn't matter.....there was no difference between i stalling the ls6 than the ls1. Like thunder said....a 2002 ls1 woulda had different parts also if you really want to look that close.....even the ls6 intake. So nothing other than a 99 motor would be the same. In 2000 the ls1 had different exhaust manis.
Besides....69 ls6 camaro's were made in 2002. My car is just a clone. Furd guys should rejoice in the fact that no more were made.
Furd guys like to cry because nothing in their world can be changed so easily.

Pretty sure a '99 GT engine could be swapped into a '96 GT with minimal changes, but that sure as hell wouldn't be a "replacement." It'd be a PI swap, which is exactly what people call them.

Oh you're cryin tryin to prove some absurd point.
If you ever fabricated mounts to actually swap a engine you would know the difference in a swap and a replacement and wouldn't use the same term for them.
What i find funny is you guys are tryin to make this hillbilly inbred redneck sound like he did more than he did. All the while belittling swaps that actually take effort.
I'm giving credit where it's due and saying what i did was very very simple.

And likely still wouldn't outrun hammers ls1.
Don't you have a new rear end?
Besides minimal changes is not 0 changes. Minimal changes = ls7 swap.

Is your car stock? Funny part is i drove a mild bolt on ls1 car faster than you termi. You had to blower swap to out run that car
And likely still would outrun hammers ls1.
Don't you have a new rear end?
Not really.....done proved that
Pretty sure that would be a complete waste of time to.

I could see where logical logic would bother you.
It woulda been easy enough for gm to squeeze another 10hp out of the 305 with added development. But it wasn't in production to even compete. Now here is the kicker....the regular 30poo never out powered the 305. It took the cobra version. That would be no different than chevy doin a more high performance 305. They coulda used a l98 or or used vortec heads that would of only been 1 yr after the 30poo went out of production. After all the 305 made 220 hp in a truck application there
As far as my ls6 goes. .....it's not a swap. More of a replacement. It took no wiring....it took no mount changes...no accessory changes. Hell i drove it for a while on the ls1 tune. It went 12.0 or 12.1 on the ls1 tune and oe catback with out even a dr. So that's why it's really nothing at all.
Now my uncle and i put a ls1 in a 56 bel air......that's a "swap"
My 93 notch with a termi motor is a "swap".
My ls7 when it goes in my camaro or vette will be a "swap". Although a mild swap in the camaro.
A duramax in a mid 80's truck is a "swap"
There are swaps.....then there are replacements. Swaps = changes needed to make happen. Replacements require no changes.
You should be worried about someones logic that thinks any different.

So did you or did you not rip out the LS1? Yes you did.
Did you or did you not put in (swap in) an LS6? Yes you did.
That's a swap you crock of ****.
You SWAPPED the LS1 for the LS6. ******* ***** can't stop gargling Chevy for one second.
