Yeah it does. I can pull a motor directly out of an 01 cobra, drop it directly into a 96 GT without changing a thing and it will run. You're the one making crazy stipulations about intakes and exhaust manifolds, which come with a take out motor anyway.

Back to my point that you make up your own rules. Sorry bud, wiki, urban dictionary, and every other dictionary on the web disagree with you. Along with car collectors, modders, and everyone else on the internet not named bighammer or Jake.

An engine swap can either be to another engine intended to work in the car by the manufacturer, or one totally different. The former is much simpler than the latter.

If the ****** engine won't bolt up to the exhaust then no it won't ******* work dipshit.

These are not rules i am making up. It's simply not being a ****** moron and realizing the difference between a engine that directly bolts in with 0 changes vs one that doesn't.

A ls6 intake came on ls1s. Get over it. My ls1 woulda probably had a ls6 intake on it in weeks after it was killed if it wasn't killed.

Hell...i coulda put the ls1 intake on the ls6 if i had wanted.......try swapping intakes with a 2v/4v

We changed my brothers truck from a 5.3 to a 6.0, didn't have to change a thing... swap or replacement?

It bolts directly to the stock midpipe and mufflers.

You're just not getting it. You could get the engine out of another 99 LS1 and it would still be a swap. If it didn't come with it from the factory, it's a swap.

It's about how he's saying a swap & replacement are two different things. If that's how it is to him, all fine & dandy. Just don't go trying to tell everyone in the ******* world "that's how it is". Who gives a flying **** what you call it. I have a new motor...

No a 4v don't go in with out ANY ither changes.

Goin in with out any changes = replacement.

Swaps need ither chsnges to make them happen. It's jyst that easy.

Give me any documentation that backs up your claim. Cause currently you don't have a single person outside of your cheerleaders that agree with you.

Holy thread revival Batman.

But yes, the full ls6 motor itself never came in a mass produced production 98-02 Camero. Thanks for proving my point.

Too bad my 302 vs hammer's 305 thing never happened because hammer's motor turned out to be a 350+ and was forgotten ever since

Predictably the former owner followed the famous GM mantra..."The way to make a 305 run is to swap it out for a 350...and still go slower than a 302".

*cue Puck's boat anchor story being narrated by Morgan Freeman with "I will remember you" serving as background music*
